Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
Can someone please tell me what that Nationals and Riggleman see in Lannan? I really don't understand why we keep him on our team, I really don't, maybe I'm missing something or just dont understand baseball too well.
I know we don't have the best pitching rotation, but I'd rather give someone else a chance and watch them suck than keep putting Lannan in and already knowing what he's going to do.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
Glad our offense decided to show up tonight because with Lannan we definitely would have lost. Dunn is getting into a grove with hitting now, might not be hitting as many homers as before, but he's getting the hits in which is good.
Can't wait for Sunday to see Strasburg demolish the Indians and Acta.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
Lannan is like Antwaan Randle El. He's way overmatched as the Ace or even #2 guy (like ARE was here), and hence looked down upon. But he would make a solid #4 or #5 guy. In a couple of years, our rotation should be anchored by Strasburg, Zimmerman, and maybe Detwiler with Lannan as a solid end of rotation/situational starter

Well I shouldn't have included Zimmermann either, they are injured. Wang, Zimmermann, Martis. I think they all have a good shot.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
Wang should be back mid-July and Zimmermann back around mid-August, so going into the final stretch, we could see the Nats Starting Rotation for 2011 come together, if they don't make a run this year. Plus Detweiler and Marquis should be back by the time Zimmermann is ready as well.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
I thought I heard Dibble say that Zimmermann most likely wont play this year unless we are in a playoff spot opportunity because they don't want to rush him back.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
14 strikeouts in 7 innings?? Is that good? Bryce Harper is now in the fold? I'm a big O's fan, but what the Nats are doing has me on the fence, I'm not gonna lie.
