However, at his pro day, he reportedly wowed scouts with a series of throws, including an 80-yard Hail Mary that served as the grand finale.

Wes Welker, now a receivers coach with the San Francisco 49ers, was in attendance for Mahomes' pro day, at the time working with the Houston Texans. He told Sports Illustrated's Michael Rosenberg that when Mahomes' workout ended, scouts applauded. Welker, who was new to coaching, had to ask if that was normal. A scout told him it was not.

There are similarities ... hype train!

But every now and then doesnt a diamond appear in the rough?
I bet Willis is there at 11, I take a swing. I bet next year with Wentz under center our pick will be high teens or twenties. Willis could be the land the Wentz bridge brings us too.

We still have over a month to the draft. So lame. Move that shit back closer to the beginning of the year.

Great story and yes they are. Willis and Lance could be great. Just too early too tell. If Lance gets the keys in SF this year, that will be interesting as they traded a lot to get him. No doubt the hype is real for both especially at the draft.

If we landed Lloyd and Pitre, and picked up picks id lose my shit. Oh and Charleston Rambo, WR from Miami is someone to watch in the late rounds. Idc what he did at the combine or if he was even there - dude i s gonna be a late round steal.

Big fan of his as I have been watching some highlights of potential WRs. I feel a good word to describe his route running is smooth. I like him better than Wilson who I know is quite popular by many. It is hard for me to take my track and field coaching background out when watching speed guys but I see a lot of flaws in Wilson's running. At the snap he often moves off his strong leg and rocks slightly back onto his quick leg. You can see it in his hips, shoulders and often his head rock back slightly. When he is cutting he is very choppy. When I see athletes that choppy it strikes me as a strength-balance issue. All of that can be corrected but I think NFL caliber CBs will be able to take advantage of that.

Chris Olave has set up team visits with the Commanders, Buccaneers and Cowboys.

I wouldn't be upset with the pick, I think he is there if we move down with a team as well.

Re: Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread

I’m definitely in the group tired of seeing our first two rounds going towards the defense or offensive line. Samuels showed last year he’s a liability and Terry needs someone to take attention away from him on occasion so I’m hoping for a trade back into the late teens and getting one of top WRs like Wilson, Olave, and Burks.

Re: Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread

I think we need to stack the D.
The key to winning is getting penetration in the backfield.

11: R1 P11 - S Barry McKockiner - Clemson
47: R2 P15 - CB Cam L. Tou - Hawaii
113: R4 P8 - LB Juan Tibone - Harvard
189: R6 P10 - DT Wayne Kerr - Cal
230: R7 P9 - LB Dixon Nas - SDSU
240: R7 P19 - S Bo Nehr - LSU

Juan Tibone sounds like he should be playing with Deshaun Watson...
