Whether he is emotionally off kilter or not, we shouldn't be judging him.

edit: unless it's Jeremy Shockey we're talking about.

Re: ESPN Report: Terrell Owens attempts suicide

So does everyone who was picked on as a kid and everyone who had a bad childhood get a free pass to be a jerk as an adult? Do they get to behave and play by a different set of social standards? Maybe some people think so, but I'm definitely not one of them.

ps. this is a different issue than the alleged "suicide attempt" issue. I'm merely defending my stance that he's been a jerk for years. Obviously if he really did try to kill himself, I would agree that his life experiences could arguably contribute to that.

I hear you--you make good points. nobody gets a free pass to be a jerk ... some people should get cut more slack than others though.

My guess is that this is all a big misunderstanding. That TO only intended to take two pain killers, miscounted and took 35.

Be fair now - he had a rough childhood so it's not his fault that he can't count.

That's hilarious because I know that argument will be reported sometime in the near future!

Honestly, I feel sorry for the guy. Yesterday I was hating life but today I'm greatful to be alive. Thanks T.O., you've given me a new lease on life.

I just hope after T.O. denies trying to kill himself at his press conference we can all stop feeling sorry for this turd and get back to loathing him and his childish antics again like in the good old days.

ESPN Report: Terrell Owens DOES NOT attempt suicide

Per the news conference (i.e., directly from TO's mouth), he claims he didn't try to commit suicide. He said the other 30 pills are in a drawer somewhere, and that his ladyfriend thought he took them since they weren't in the bottle.

So, can we all agree he sucks now?

Agreed. He sucked before and during this circus, and he still sucks today.

Re: ESPN Report: Terrell Owens attempts suicide

I gotta say though, his publicist did nothing for his cause. I could buy everything Terrell said, but then she gets up there and looks like a blatant liar. Somehow we're supposed to believe the police lied about what she said to them? Bullshit. If I had to put money on what really happened?: I'd say she absolutely told the police he was depressed. Whether he really is or not, she struck me as the type that would completely over-react to the situation. And then she has the audacity to say the media is taking advantage of T.O. by reporting this as an attempted suicide attempt? Hey honey, maybe the media wouldn't have reported it this way if you didn't tell the police he was depressed. If anyone is to blame for this whole fiasco, I blame her. Nice job "publicist".

I completely agree.
First, she basically said the police were lying in their sworn statements.
And then she denied ever saying that TO told her he was depressed and then she went on to say, "he has 25 million reasons not to be depress," and bolted from her chair like it was on fire. So has no rich person ever killed themself?

Uh.. have you ever been to Dallas? Their cops have the highest 'shoot first make up an excuse later' ratio in the South.
