Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
It really is pretty bad. Almost as bad as Hooskins, Ohhhhhhhh. Just kidding lol. But yeah I agree on Fatal Bert having no rhyme or reason. When I first saw it I thought it was a reference to a crazed Sesame Street character that goes around killing the other Muppets with a butcher knife.

Muppetcide is an increasing blight on our society.

Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
Haynesworth came to this team with some expectations and promises. Those expectations are no longer going to be met due to coaching changes. I'm inclined to side with Haynesworth and recommend to him that if he does not desire to play in the Skins' new defensive schema he give back the money and walk away.

I think there is a better chance of Al playing every snap this season than him giving $ back. |

I'm for Shanahan doing whatever he likes with the roster and schemes. However, he has to pay the price (on Snyder's coin) to part with Haynesworth since it was understood and agreed upon by the team before Allen and Shanahan were hired that Haynesworth would play in a 4-man front.

There's been a culture of change, because real deep rooted change has never happened. In recent years it was like a stupid man changing his attire only to look smart. Hopefully this time it means that same man has hired a pair of tutors that will help him get smarter lol

Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
I am disgruntled with Albert. I mean he is getting a Boatload of Money here, just keep quiet, and do whatever the coaches want.
I am not really upset with Shanahan, but just wish this was handled differently by the Front Office and Coaching Staff as well. If the coaches told Haynesworth that he would be used as a 3-4 blocker eating NT, then I can see some of his frustration. The man is getting paid to make plays, so put him in position to make plays. It's a tough situation to get a read on. I like Coach Shan and Al, it seems like 2 stubborn men who won't give ground for compromise. And basically the whole team and fanbase has to suffer. |

I still havent heard anything about AH making any comments, I know the last thing he did was sit and talk to Shanny and explained to him his off season plans and Shanny agreed. This is still optional work outs.

Even if AH showed up for camp, I'd still want to trade hiim for whatever I could get. I just don't like prima donnas...it's not the Redskins way. Last year I think we should've cut Clinton just to make a point. I'm sorry he's a Redskin and we didn't get to see Champ Bailey here (plus the number 2 pick we sent to Denver for CP).

@Adam_Schefter RT @bgizle: haynesworth considered a big trade? ... I will tell you what two Redskins people told me: "He is NOT getting traded."

Re: Haynesworth might learn a few things about Shanahan from Plummer
The $32 million already paid out is a sunk cost so in a sense it shouldn't make any difference in the decision to keep/trade Al. But I'm not advocating a trade...far from it. I believe you keep him because at his best he's the best there is, period. Reason enough IMO to build a defense around the guy. Shanahan/Haslett/Allen are making their first enormous mistake as the new regime. For Haslett it's likely the only big mistake, because after a lousy defensive year Shanny will go looking for something different.
