If NFL owners were smart (and they aren't), they would get together and tell him to knock it off or else they'll pool their money together and donate 100+ million towards Democrats in the next election. Money talks and that kind of money would move mountains in Congress.

I find it hilarious these dipshits donated to his campaign and inauguration and he turned around and fucked them. LOL
Are you kidding me? What a narcissistic thing to say! I thought maybe he just didn't like it when people disrespect the our flag and our anthem. I'm not a Trump - or anybody - hater, but it pains me to see the symbols of our national ideals used by anybody for personal gain.

Re: NFL Anthem Policy

I haven't heard a better idea yet than the one proposed by Ross Tucker. He said let's have a moment of silence before the anthem where the player's causes will be acknowledged, the players are free to kneel, hold a fist in the air, whatever, then everyone stands for the anthem.

Fine. I realize this is all for good cause and such but it's not all the same cause and I am just tired of all the BS.

I'm more than fine with that idea!

Re: NFL Anthem Policy

I'll agree that people can kneel during anthem, hell even burn a flag, if ESPN and other sports sites can no longer give a team by team breakdown every week of how many/what players did so.

Re: NFL Anthem Policy

Trump is rock hard over the anthem "issue" today of course

Meanwhile...

@evansilva
Such a joke. 2 players kneeled. 24 teams played. 90-man rosters. 2 out of 2,160 players. 0.09%. #StickToActualProblems

Personally I don't think they should even play the anthem anymore. Its not played before a movie, concert, or Broadway show so why do it before a sports game. I am always fascinated at how people want to solemnize something as trivial as a sporting event.

Re: NFL Anthem Policy

Please send this thread to hell. Chico, that was my all time favorite comment here.

I wish we could keep this a sports site all the time.

I'd 100% talk with anyone here about politics, but it has to be done in a setting where you know who the person you're talking to, imho. Otherwise it gets lost in translation.

Re: NFL Anthem Policy

Think that really these players think the rules do not apply to them, Apply to everybody else. Sad but true. Even though they say it is for social justice.
