Well that was unexpected.

Anyone watching the Nats game right now? If so, you see the idiot behind homeplate, first row to the left in the white shirt? Dude thinks every pitch is a strike, even the ones that are like a foot high, low or outside, it's hilarious.

And here come the Nationals sucking the biggest dick as usual. PATHETIC. I'm so fucking sick of this team. I honestly feel bad for Strasburg, we should just release him to a team that actually attempts to play professional baseball.

Damn man, calm down. The Nats have for the most part exceeded expectations for much of the year and they're only now starting to get some of their young guys in there such as Strasburg, Storen, Stammen. Desmond's still learning. JZ will be back soon. Harper will be there next year. Gotta have some patience with this team. They're headed in the right direction

Yeah that's the thing we have to keep remind ourselves right now. Our guys are young and we will get better through this. When all our young guys reach their potential we will see better times. I think fans just got caught up in having a decent start and figured we'd only get better once Strasburg arrived. This team probably won't do anything this season but we are definitely setting ourselves up for the future.

I'm calm now haha. I'm just getting pissed with Desmond. He's definitely one of my favorite players, but he continues to have an error a game or worse. He's batting terribly and it doesn't look like it's going to get better anytime soon.

I understand the team isn't great, I know that, but tonight they looked like a high school team if not worse, it was really pathetic. I hate when they do stuff like this with Strasburg, not that it's fair to anyone of the pitchers, but you have all the idiots come out, oh bla bla Strasburg isn't that good, such as the idiot Braves fans chanting overrated.

Cause we all know they were there to see the Braves tonight. I think they sold something like 21,000 more tickets, geee I wonder why.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season

I was actually there tonight. Awesome to see him pitch live, though at the same time a little easier to get tickets for away games(it was still packed though). Seeing him strike out 5 batters in a row was nothing short of amazing. However I must have been the only person rooting for him in there. Very few people wearing National's gear. Shame though that the 7th inning got away from him, but the guys still young and he doesn't have the team around him to support his amazing ability.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season

Anybody watching the game tonight? What a horrible error that was by Desmond on the double play ball in the 7th. Now we're already down 3-0. Oh wow. As I type this the Nats just committed another error and the Braves are up 4-0. And this is the most horrible error filled inning I've seen in a while. And just to avoid the question no I haven't witnessed the Nats getting swept by Bawl'more and the big leads they blew in all 3 games.

I'd be kinda upset if I was Strasburg to be honest. It was a 0-0 game going into the 7th and now it's 4-0 Braves and they've only gotten 1 out. And pretty much everybody appears to be confused as hell right now, the Braves aren't even doing anything fancy but the Nats are committing atrocious errors.

well, when your the no 1 overall pick, you kinda gotta expect to go to the crappiest team in baseball. give him 4 more years and he'll join the yankees. then our buddy tryful will claim an uncle lives in NYC and therefore he can become a yankees fan. (j/k man)

with that error to desmond (which i thought was a play he should make atleast to get the guy out at 2nd) it wasnt your perfect double play ball. he had to pick it up with the runner running right in front of the ball, like the announcer said he couldnt charge the ball and grab it on the bounce he wanted but had to let the baserunner run his line and wait for the ball in which he doesnt get to choose when "on the hop" to grab it but has to try and grab the ball at whatever point it is on the hop.

Sigh. Milky Cabrera is the 9th batter for the Braves this inning. Absolutely horrible and the Braves are now up 5-0.

I was laughing at the overrated chants, pretty pathetic on their part. Must suck knowning a 'overrated' pitcher is the reason there was 21,000 more fans there.

Well let's not forget the Braves are a good team this year. HOWEVER it was almost packed and according to ESPN the average attendence for a weekday game is around 50 or 60% capacity. Today it was 86% according to ESPN so it's obvious that Strasburg continues to be a road show but either way that doesn't change the fact that the Braves are a good team with a strong fan base. Also for the record I am an O's fan (got to see Cal Ripken go 6-6 against Atlanta during his farewell tour).

Oh I know they are a good team, for right now at least, let's not forget they were sucking like us in the beginning of the season, hence the reason I was laughing at their fans.

They weren't 50-60% full when they were doing terrible, they just started showing up now that they are doing good, much like the Nationals 'fans' have been doing. As said though, most of those people were there for Strasburg, whether or not they were Braves fans.
