ramsey got a 6th, lloyd (who was owed a 1st) got a 3rd and 4th. Gardner got a 6th. 1 year deal = nuked trade value.

If he was available in 5 or 6, I'd take him in a heartbeat. Tennessee didn't have much going for it this year, but he was a true brightspot. Very tough runner, always gave 100% in the games I saw. Assuming that we won't be able to afford keeping Betts on as a backup forever, I would like to see Riggs-take-II in our backfield.

I don't think we need to pick a RB this year who would not even be a starter. We can pick one up next year if we lose Betts and remember we still have Rock who has done a great job when called on. I would like to see Rock get some more snapps this year. Didn't Timmy Smith get more yards in the SB or does that count?

G2 would be a very nice pickup. Being a Tennessee fan I thought he was going to have a monster season last year, but the entire team went in the tank. I really think someone is going to get a steal with that kid, I don't know his 40 time or how many reps he did on the benchpress, but I do know he can play. We could do a lot worse for a 3rd running back.

I'd take him, why not? Stephen Davis was a monster who came from the 5th round

we wouldn't have locked rock up for 4 years if we didn't plan on using him.

The Rock is a great special teams guy but as the back up to a number 1# running back if he gose down NO!!! He will never be the number one back on the Redskins for any time if we wanted another Super Bowl win!!! As for Riggs Jr I saw some of what he did in college and so so. What he can do in the NFL is a big question as well. Still in round 5 maybe lighting may strike!

Re: Gerald Riggs Jr. A Redskin?

Boys Boys.......Taking Riggs in thr 5th or 6th is not a bad move if he is thought to have something. Betts,Cartwright or who ever other then Portis is going to have to make the team this summer! Lets say that they see something in Riggs that he can be our next good or even great running back. Do you pass because you have some so so backs already on your team? No you make the pick then see how it works out. Because you never have to much talent and runningback is a place you need it most! Before you say I think Riggs is the next coming I am not. But if he is you can't pass it up and to tell the truth we are do to hit a starter in the late rounds.
