Re: Once Again, kicking Game Let Us Down

not only can Hall NOT kick anything outside of 30 yards, he has a big fat beer gut I got tired of seeing flop around everytime he'd trot out on the field.

He's a joke and has been for a few years now, should have picked up Vinattari...

Re: Once Again, kicking Game Let Us Down

The late hit on Sean Taylor was BS. The facemask penalty was correctly called.

What stood out to me tonight was how the secondary got shredded. I've wondered for a long time about Carlos Rogers. Maybe he still needs to mature as a player, but he had a rough night. So did Wright. So did Rumph. So did Archuleta.

Pass defense is going to be a serious problem until Springs gets back. Add this to the fact that there was STILL no consistent pass rush outside of Demetric Evans, and you've got quite a dilemma on defense. I was surprised at how conservative Gregg Williams was tonight. Not many blitzes -- for the most of the game, he had everybody sit back and stay in their zones, only to get picked apart. Andre Carter was non-existant, (as I feared he would be) and Daniels got banged up. So far, I've seen nothing to indicate that these two defensive ends are anything special.

Bottom line ... I shudder to think what Owens, Glenn and Witten will do to this secondary next Sunday night.

Look at the Vikes offensive line, specifically that left side, and you can see why we didn't generate much pressure. Take away Springs and of course GW can't be as aggressive.

The Cowboys don't have that kind of an offensive line.

It will be a different story next week.

The Vikings have assembled a good line, no question. But Andre Carter was brought here to answer that.

Springs being out only makes it more vital that there be more pressure from the front four.

Special Teams sucked tonight too. This was bad game all around. If I had to blame one individual though, it would be Taylor. Jesus, doesn't he know when not to play like an idiot?

Forst played good tonight...so lets not point the finger at him.

Wasn't Longwell a Free Agent this past offseason?

Re: Once Again, kicking Game Let Us Down

yeah the kicking game needs attention, but we lost due to not stopping them on 3rd downs!!!! 3rd down conversions killed us!!!! they were 9-17 on 3rd downs and it seemed they were better then 53% even though hall missed it you cant really blame him solely. blame the D if you want to say someone let us down.

Re: Once Again, kicking Game Let Us Down

The defense was a bigger letdown than Hall missing that kick.

We gave up way too many 3rd down conversions. The game shouldn't have been that close.

We also needed to come away with another TD when we got in the redzone.

A 48 yarder isn't exactly a chip shot, and the Vikings got pressure too which caused Hall to rush it a bit.

Are you kidding, Matty I hope you saw Hall's other two kicks, they barely went in, and looked terrible, yeah defense was bad, Hall was worst.

What's there to kid about?

Our defense was horrible on 3rd downs.

The offense stunk in the redzone.

Yet some people want to keep pointing at Hall.

I don't get it. He wasn't the main reason we lost. Not even close.
