Re: Skins/Panthers Game Ball
I'm going with the entire D. After all of the BS thats happened in the last couple of weeks in the media and everything THAT was the way to respond.
Golston is looking like a legit starter. He's in on alot of plays and I think that'll make griffin look better. The playcalling looked a lot different today. I still would like to see deep shots earlier in the game, instead of when the opposing D is expecting it, but I like lining up and playing a smashmouth game against a solid D and winning the battle.

The Grim Reaper no doubt. Laid the lumber all day, made the crucial stop and sealed the game.
Get the hell out of my house Panther whores. Pussy-cat ball may win the NFC South but that weak bs isn't going to cut it in the East. |

Re: Skins/Panthers Game Ball
Honestly i vote taylor for the Springs/Taylor combo, Springs jammed Steve Smith at the line almost every time something not easy to do and i dont believe Mr. Peppers got a sack today so the O-Line need sa little love

Re: Skins/Panthers Game Ball
I voted Cooley. Taylor looked like his old self and would have gotten my vote, but he had some negative plays that bust him back a bit. Cooley made a great catch and run to score the go ahead points.
Really the whole team (except maybe Novak) played great.

Re: Skins/Panthers Game Ball
Rogers.. Easily his best game of the year.. He needs to be more consistent and play like this every week.. How about getting a little closer to the line of scrimmage though!

Re: Skins/Panthers Game Ball
Very tough call. I voted Cooley out of impulse, because that was the game-breaker.
JC threw beautifully, ST was good, SS was great, CR was flawless. Secondary was stellar. I'm excited, this defense should look good in 07'. Thinking about it now, Shawn Springs probably deserves it. To shut down Steve Smith like he did is a pro-bowl caliber performance.

Re: Skins/Panthers Game Ball
Tough call....Betts definately could get the nod. As has been noted, without Betts' running I don't see us winning that game.
However, I think the entire defense (secondary, linebackers, and defensive line) deserves the game ball. The front four got a lot of pressure (if only 1 sack), the secondary covered some great wideouts, and the linebackers were very active. I think it's hard to single anyone out from that unit. |

Re: Skins/Panthers Game Ball
I gotta go with Betts.
Sure, he didn't make any huge plays (like Cooley's 65yd TD), but he was the workhorse. We were able to control the clock because of him, and sustain drives.

Re: Skins/Panthers Game Ball
Cooley gets it. He broke a bunch of tackles on the way to the TD.
