Which QB has been taking the reps with the first team since Campbell has gone down? Does anyone know?

They've been splitting snaps with the first team. I don't think they have made a decision yet. And, if neither lights it up the next two games as the starter, they will either stay with Brunell as the #2 or prevaricate in some way saying "we have two quality backups, either could replace Campbell, etc." This is assuming one of them is not traded.

I hope we don't trade one of them. I like our quarterback situation ATM.

Well, on the question of Collins' arm strength -- I keep seeing him fire deep passes with relative ease. He also seems to have a nice touch on the ball.

If Saunders relies on a QB's ability for deep passing with his offense, it doesn't seem he's concerned about Collins.

No one has said he wasn't capable of throwing the ball the necessary distance. He can. The problem is the trajectory he has to use to get it there. On some routes, like the one to Santana, it doesn't hurt him because you like the ball coming in at steep angle. It gives Santana the chance to make a play. On others, like the floater he threw down the middle to Cooley that vaguely resembled a punt, the defense will either
a)intercept or b)put the receiver in the hospital.

My concern was that Collins could not make up for his lack of physical skills with smarts and system-knowledhge. I think he proved last night that he can do enough to be the backup. I still suspect that (assuming Brunell is not traded) they will hedge in some way to allow Mark to save face.
