Re: SI: NFL 2007 Preview
I must have been mumbling around my point. I don't think he's a deep threat. And I don't want Al trying to use him that way. I don't think that's his gift.

Re: SI: NFL 2007 Preview
Dr. Z will be proven wrong like usual on his predictions. The Redskins are a much better team than 6-10, and the Cowboys are much, much worse than 9-7. Preseason predictions mean virtually nothing. Him picking the 'Aints as Super Bowl champions, ridiculous with a capital R!

It'll be the pats or indianapolis in the big game this year. I don't see Chicago making another run at it. Their running game is now suspect.

Re: SI: NFL 2007 Preview
Hate to be a smart alec, but you make it sound like THE Steve Smith (top 3 receiver in the league) of the Carolina Panthers is now with the Giants. Specify that it's that kid out of USC with the same name, who has probably considerably less game.

Re: SI: NFL 2007 Preview
The Dr Z algorithm:
Go through the schedule and pick all the games based on who had the better record last year. Count the wins. Now count the losses (subtract from 16? in my day we didnt have subtraction!). Then add some wins on to the zero win teams and subtract some wins from the 16 win teams. Voila! Predictons. Collect paycheck. |

Re: SI: NFL 2007 Preview
I think the Eagles are vastly overated and the Giants should start looking forward to next year NOW. The Cowboys are solid, but can be easily had by a tough defense which is what our strength will be this year. If our offense can get even an average team together...we could win the division at 10-6. If we can't score...8-8 or 7-9 at best or quite possibly another long season. GOD please deliver us from mediocrity!
