Now that's funny...

You could also substitute LaVar Arrington in there.

Re: Gibbs Dictionary

You know for a coach who has won 3 SB for this team and fans (the only SB's we have won) he deserves more respect than this. Disagree with how the team is run is one thing its another when it becomes a personal attack and for this thread to be on a Skins fan site shows no respect for the only coach to win us SB's.

Re: Gibbs Dictionary

Honestly, I don't think it's too disrespectful myself. Everyone has their own idiosyncracies and his are kinda funny.

There's nothing wrong with getting a chuckle out of the fact that we know at every press conference we're going to hear about how someone was fighting his guts out, is super smart or is a very important part of this football team. It's almost like a Gibbs drinking game. I get what you're saying and there definitely is alot of over the top disrespect being thrown around on this site, but I don't think this is necessary of that type.

However, if people can't stay on topic, it's going to turn into that real quick.

I guess I have seen all the stuff said this week and now its going after how he say's stuff which seems like its now getting personal. I ahve no problem at laughing at myself or others at stuff they say but its the timing of this thread. If the joking was after a win then I feel it would be much different.

Yeah I doubt we would have this thread if we were 6-3.

But who knows, with the way this season has gone maybe we would.

Not disrespectful, just funny. Every coach talks in "coach speak."

Re: Gibbs Dictionary

Win or lose, Gibbs has always talked like this. It is very funny when you take off your burgundy and gold glasses but I don't think it is disrespectful. This team has problems. I don't doubt that Gibbs and staff are trying their best to correct these problems. He has been getting grilled lately and has been put in a position of having to explain his coaching philosophy. It won 3 Superbowls two decades ago, but I don't think it's working now.

"Our gameplan had him in certain packages."

Translation - There was no f'ing way we were putting him in the game (see A. Archuleta and L. Arrington).

LOL!!! That's great!

Translation - We're actually not going to run those certain packages.

Well done. This was in the spirit of the thread the Mods were looking for. A funny statement without taking a pot shot at Coach Gibbs..
