It almost feels like the Skins are crack addict for making deals, and they are sitting there shaking and sweating. People keep telling them they are doing good, just relax this feeling will pass...but at any time they could fall off the wagon and pull off a dumb deal to get thier fix. (Like a Julius Peppers, or Chad Johnson or something like that)
I hope not...I want to see what kind of damage we can do in the draft, and we need to get younger.

Re: What to do with the cap space?

Here's what I think.
I think Cerrato wanted 5-6 Mil cushion going into the draft in case there is some trade potential...that explains why they wouldn't offer Hacket 2 Mil.

If no trade occurs, they can use that, as many have suggested, to extend Campbell or other core draft picks nearing the end of their contracts.

Regarding siging June 1 cuts....there wont be any due to the new rules that allow you to designate early cuts as June 1. Free agency is essentially over outside of 3rd stringers.

Re: What to do with the cap space?

I think the reason that we r trying to save money,is to be able to sign our players for next couple of years and build from the draft.(Macintosh,Campbell,Montgomery,Rodgers,etc.) Dan is trying to keep a core of players wich is what he should have done from the get-go.Draft Cromartie,Mike Jenkins,Talib in the 1st,DE-DT in 2nd,OT-OG in 3rd,then go to the best player available in the rest of the picks.

I would like the any money left under the cap to be paid directly to me, preferably in large bills. Wait, I take that back. Make it in all ones. That way I can show Pacman how it's REALLY done at the strip club.

Ok, you are really annoying. Moving on It is good that we have stayed away from spending so much money. It is about time that we build from within.

its only good if you can draft well

do you have much confidence in the likes of Snyder and Vinnie to build with the draft? They didn't have a clue when it came to building with free agency so good luck with that.

I feel like we are intending on doing something with it, we couldnt be so stupid to push so much money back in guarantees just to not do anything with the space we created

Sure, Shawn Springs, Marcus Washington, Fred Smoot, London Fletcher, Randle El, Cornelius Griffin, Casey Rabach, and Randy Thomas were all a waste, huh?

With the final say on personnel, Vinny won a Super Bowl in San Fran and a national championship at Notre Dame. How about 16 pro-bowlers while in San Fran? Two rookies of the year? Drafted TO? I suppose trading for Santana Moss and Clinton Portis was a waste too, huh? Yeah, the same Clinton Portis who has the 3rd most rushing yards in the conference since coming to the Skins.

Moronville. Population you.

Sorry I keep responding to this jackass everybody. I just can't resist. What a surprise that a New York fan is being moronically obnoxious.
