Re: McNabb

McNabb can tell himself whatever he wants. I'm just suprised he did it in front of the national media. For a guy who has taken the high road so many times throughout his career, it seems as though he's finally feelin' the heat in Philly.

Re: McNabb

and to add to that..

"There is no way that you can look at this game and say -- and not taking anything away from them -- but there is no way this team is better than us. The same went for last week, and you find yourself here wondering, 'Why?' "

For Eagles, a good game goes bad | delawareonline | The News Journal

Well the better team won jack!!

I love flying under the radar. Seems like teams (dallas and filthy..I mean philly) are falling apart when we beat them..Wonder why?

I hope we beat them again in our home games later on in the season

Eff the cowgirls and the filthy eagles!!

Re: McNabb

Philly might have developed into something other than the trashbin that it is, but somebody put Jersey next to it. What do you expect. Other than "The Boss"(both Tony Soprano and Bruce Springstien), what has Jersey produced other than trash(aka Eagles fans)?

Re: McNabb

I don't think McNabb said anything classless. He might be dead wrong, but I wasn't offended by anything he said.

"I was embarrassed these last two weeks. I mean [to lose] to two teams we shouldn't have lost to. There is no way that you can look at this game and say that, and not taking anything away from them, but there is no way that this team is better than us."

I wouldn't say classless, but derogatory. "...two teams we shouldn't have lost to... and ...no way that this team is better than us..." These statements imply that we, along with the Bears are bottom-rung teams. It would be one thing if he had a basis for this argument. But I believe that Philly was the ONE NFC East team watching the playoffs from home last year. Granted he was hurt last year, but these remarks are absurd and I take offense to them.

Re: McNabb

This sounds good:

"I was embarrassed these last two weeks," he said. "I mean [to lose] to two teams we shouldn't have lost to. There is no way that you can look at this game and say that, and not taking anything away from them, but there is no way that this team is better than us."
With that statement, the only person embarrassing himself is McNabb. The Eagles lost to a superior football team Sunday. This wasn't some nip-and-tuck game where the last team with the ball won. This was the Redskins scoring 23 unanswered points and running down the Eagles' throats. This team feeds off McNabb, but that doesn't give him license to make delusional statements.

well you cant say, there is no way this team is better than us, after saying "and taking nothing away from them". By definition that is taking away credit that we we may be the better team. he is saying on thing and doing another. That is disrespectful and insulting.

Re: McNabb

Sure Donovan. We're not better than you, we've only beaten you 3 outta the last 4 games we've played in "The Link."

We came in your house and kicked your dick in the dirt, and your offense couldn't score more than 3 points in the last 55 minutes of the game. But sure, you're better.

good point. i made the same point to my brother in law( who is a die hard eagles fan) i told him its a shame the eagles wasted the best years of Mcnabb's career, with basically no quality receivers. and now the ride is just about over, for both him and Reid

I think Reid's downfall will be his love for throwing the majority of the time. Its nice to have a potent passing attack but sometimes you need to line up and run it when the D knows you are going to. The Eagles have proved they cant do that 2 weeks in a row now.

He does realize we play them again right? That's the most glaring bit of board material ever. I don't think it was classless but it WAS dumb.

Re: McNabb

Matt Moseley from ESPN has McNabbs quote plus a good article.

ESPN - Redskins take two for the road - NFC East

Great article. My favorite line: "Eagles coach Andy Reid was left mumbling something about putting his team in the right position, which for now is dead last in the NFC East."

LOL!! Eat shit Philly.

Re: McNabb

McNabb may be delusional but Eagles fans sure aren't. I was trolling some Eagles message boards tonight and their fans seem to have already thrown in the towel on the Eagles season after today's loss. They are prepared to sit in the cellar of the NFC East the entire season.
