Re: Portis

To all the "retard" commentators.... do you even watch other NFL games? Compare Portis to 85% of other backs in the league. He is slow, has no lateral quickness and is absolutely horrible in the open field. ZERO balance, always falling forward.

He is average at best.

Re: Portis

Now this is getting a bit crazy, Portis when healthy and playing behind a good line is a quality running back and he blocks his ass off as well.

Re: Portis

Running Mike Sellers twice at the goal line when you have one of the NFLs leading rushers was the stupid act of the game. Zorn was clearly sending a signal to Portis and that signal was costly to the redskins. Zorn owns that assinine decision.

There is a two fold problem here. Zorn has lost the team, and Cerrato has formed a rather weak talented team.

He's much better than Sellers though.

You're not a fan of Portis, we get it. He's not immune to blame but as the offensive line goes so does he. I agree with him now when he blasted the OL earlier in the year. They do suck.

Re: Portis

Portis is the heart of this team! just a few weeks ago, everyone was singing his praises...now this. Does anyone know how to be loyal to their team? His numbers speak for itself. Talk trash about someone else...but not the guy who produces more than anyone else on this team. He and London Fletcher are immune to me from all the bs. Talk about cooley, sellers, or someone else for a change.

No trash talk...just my opinion from watching every game of his Maroon and Black career.

Re: Portis

Is this a serious thread? CP is the least of our concerns. Where were you during the first half of the year? So, 6 weeks w/ a injured CP, an injured offensive line will cause you lose sight of a top NFL Rb?

Re: Portis

I honestly can't believe what I am reading. People actually have turned the blame to Portis now. Who, just two weeks ago was seriously in consideration for the MVP of the league! You people have to get a grip. Portis is banged up big time. He is the Redskins offense. Teams have learned to put 8-9 in the box and stop him because Zorn has turned into conservative Joe(you know who) If anyone is on Portis and calling for him to go, that is just ridiculous. Losing brings out funny things in people, just never thought they would turn on our MVP running back.

Let me offer some advise....STOP putting the Redskins in the class of top tier team in the NFL. We are probably bottom 5 in the NFL in the last 10 years. When you people understand that we are NOT an elite team in the NFL, hell even a pretty decent team in the NFL, you will learn to stop being so disappointed. Dont get me wrong, i get fired up with the best of them, but I have learned that we ARE NOT one of the top teams in the NFL, we wont be with Vinny and Danny making decisions and until someone with some experience and knowledge is hired, this is what we will deal with.

Although earlier in the year, Portis was chewing up 8-man fronts for dinner. Now, he's struggling against 7-man fronts. The guys up front share a lot of blame, but all you have to do is look at the outcomes of Portis' carries from October to now to see why the offense isn't scoring enough points.
