Re: Five Redskins Most Likely To Improve
we were 4-12 for a reason so a lot of players have no where to go but up.

Re: Five Redskins Most Likely To Improve
my top 5 most improved players next year
1. Chris Wilson- He will turn into an all pro and eventual first ballot hall of famer after he puts up 15 plus sacks over the next 7 years. Future Redskins legend! 2. Clinton Portis- How could he get worse? He has nowhere to go but up from last season's performance 3. Jeremy Jarmon- I'd like to see him beef up to play defensive end rather than linebacker in the 3-4, and i think if he adds a little more weight he can play a big role in this defense. He showed flashes last year, and despite his injury i think he will have a nice impact. 4. Devin Thomas- Showed flashes last year, should keep improving with the new offense. 5. Jason Campbell- We are bringing the offense from Houston who has been very high powered. He did well imo last year under terrible pressure, and if the line is improved, he could put up big numbers.

Re: Five Redskins Most Likely To Improve
Chris Wilson: I'm not sure that he will "improve" but his production should increase owing to the scheme change
Devin Thomas: I'm expecting him to come into his own as the #1 receiver that we drafted him to be Kevin Barnes: Should improve dramatically and see a lot more of the field Chad Rinehart: I'm looking for him to start and play well

Re: Five Redskins Most Likely To Improve
I hope Jc and Kelly improve but i unfortantly don't see that happening. I was high on Kelly when he got drafted here but he just can't seem to get rid of that injury bug. Some guys are just like that , LB's Dan Morgon ( Panthers) and Andy Katzemeyor ( Patriots) among many others. Like i said ,i like the kid just dont see him getting on the feild enuff to improve.
And JC im a huge fan of ,i think he could win us a superbowl with a great defense around him. JC has the skills but he still wont have time to throw. People are saying he'll improve because are line has, but i just dont see it. If anything as of now we have a worse Oline ,loseing Samels and Thomas . I understand why there gone but when healthy both were very good. Artis Hicks should be a back up and so should most of the Olinemen we currently have signed.Dockery's proberly are best Olinemen which is sad ,and i dont know if his feet will be quick enuff for the new scheme. Now if we draft someone like Okung ,or bring in some more vets my feeling could change. But as of now i just dont see improvement there so i cant say JC will far any better then he has in the past. I do think the scheme fits Jc's talents better ,but untill we have a soild Oline we could have Tom Brady back there and still not able to score points.

Re: Five Redskins Most Likely To Improve
Honestly I think Malcolm Kelly has loads more potential than Thomas. Neither of these guys will replace Santana as the number 1, but I think Kelly will make a big name for himself and put up atleast 700-800 yards this upcoming season. Chris Cooley is gonna put up a great season with a combination of good blocking and 3rd down receptions. Reed Doughty will continue to play like he has been and get a chance to start all year and really help with any missed tackles up front.
I truely do believe that Rocky will be the most improved. He's still very young and has just started to create a name for himself and I see him doing great things at the inside linebacker position. He's got everything except that huge size to take out the run but we've got a guy name London Fletcer and Albert Haynesworth to worry about that right? So we'll see what happens, but any guess is really safe at this point. |

Re: Five Redskins Most Likely To Improve
I hope the article is spot on but some conclusions are a little weak.
I mean everyone one hopes Kelly breaks out. In college he had great hands and a knack for creating separation. He's struggled mightily in the NFL mostly because of injury, but that means he's further back on the curve compared to Devin. If Devin is REALLY putting the time and effort in he will make us all love the offense again (single-handedly). Laron will be an even bigger liability at SS and like other (wiser) folks have said it means we sit Doughty and/or Horton who are great value players for us. Laron misses tackles and avoids contact so he'll give up huge plays at SS...his value is roaming the backfield and keeping QBs from connecting w/ their WRs. He's been a step or two late more often than not so now for him to regain "respect" by opposing offenses he would have to pick off a handful of passes. Basically I think Landry's value just continues to decline so it's best to trade him sooner than later. Orakpo will be awesome no matter what. Rogers could respond well to the new regime and especially if he feels respected again...though it won't translate into INTs. Rinehart is a question mark, no?

Re: Five Redskins Most Likely To Improve
My five (in order):
1. Devin Thomas (he can become the next Brandon Marshall). 2. Clinton Portis (healthy Clinton + Denver running scheme = 15 TDs). 3. Brian Orakpo (first year pro-bowl, second year all-pro). 4. Albert Haynesworth (he can only improve compared to last year). 5. Jason Campbell (contract year)

Re: Five Redskins Most Likely To Improve
LaRon Landry's play and confidence plummeted under Zorn's horrible coaching staff. Since G. Williams left, the secondary and Landry took the biggest hit when they lost their vocal leader. They missed Williams on the sidelines barking out the secondary changes on the fly right up the snap. It was missing a respected (sometimes hated) leader that ensured the players were playing the proper technique and disciplined play.
Bringing back that confidence in the way our DB;s play is the key. I am not talking run your mouth confidence/cockiness, I am talking about the players being confidant in where they are supposed to be, in what in what they are doing and the ability to rely on each other. That was all lost under Blache/Zorn. With a new attacking scheme and a much improved coaching staff, LaRon and our secondary has the biggest chance to show immediate improvement without adding another player. Our secondary has the talent to be much better than what they showed the last two years. The Landry and Rogers haters will be surprised. |

But why would he throw Rogers in their? The secondary will largely remain unchanged except they'll play a little more Zone which would benefit Hall more then Rogers. Either way i want to agree with those people that mentioned Chris Wilson i think he's an ideal fit for a 3-4 OLB I also want to add/agree with people that mentioned Kevin Barnes and Justin Tryon |

Watch the video. 25 sec in Turner puts the smack on Landry, which dictates the rest of Landry's game. At 2:10 Landry embarrasses himself, the franchise and the sport w/ his bullshit sideline hit. At 3:38 Turner gets the call up the gut and Landry has an open shot, instead he AVOIDS CONTACT and dives to the turf. I agree w/ you Landry takes bad angles; however we disagree on the reason.
