Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread

I am looking forward to seeing the new look Defense, the revamped Oline, the healthy CP and LJ, the young RBs, the other rookies.

Hell I am just excited to see MS on the sidelines with Jim Haslett.

I am really going to be watching all the players on the field that I can, I do not care to much about the score but I do want to see us put up some points.

OH YEAH! NO INJURIES!!!

Interested in seeing all the running backs, want to see how Alexander and Jarmon play as well. And I'm really interested in seeing how Roydell Williams plays as well

I 'm looking forward to see Thomas, and the new look oline, both will be keys to success this season imo.

Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread

1) Our new safety alignment, FS Kareem Moore and SS LaRon Landry. I know Haslett says they shift and disguise and not be assigned a FS/SS position, but....

2) The 3-4 defense - In particular our pass rush, Orakpo, Haynesworth, Carter, even London Fletcher does a great job of chasing the qb. Should be fun to watch it develop over time.

3) 3-4 defense - stopping the run. Will it work? My biggest worry, since in our old 4-3, stopping the run was our strength. Hope it does not turn into our weakness.

4) All of the new young players (especially OL and TE) Trent Williams, Eric Cook, Selvish Capers, Dennis Moore, Logan Paulsen (6'5" and 265) Terrance Austin....

I just want to see the oline stay healthy. Yeah our starters are solid, but just like last year, we cannot afford to lose anyone on the line.

Are we officially considering Horton a flash in the pan at this point? Talk about a rise in fall in such a short time.

We know they aren't gonna show many non vanilla plays but I'm looking forward to seeing how the rbs look and our special teams.

i never considered him any sort of flash at all. 3 ints his rookie year and nothing really to write home about since then. i was confused when i started seeing people wearing his jersey.

Yeah I thought there was too much hype initially. He's still a solid player and all, but he's not the next Troy Polamalu as some had hoped.

Finally, the ShanaSkins!

I'll be watching so many new things/people that it is hard to list them all. I'd like to see that we are somewhat in synch on both sides of the ball.

Go ShanaSkins!

No nat all.
In fact I am not discounting Horton as the possible game 1 starter. Im just going off of current depth chart and Haslett's call on starting Kareem.
I am not sure we have seen all that much or if at all. of LaRon and Kareem playing together....since they were FS 1 and 2 under past regime. This should prove interesting.
Its a long preseason and a lot can happen.....
always liked Lendy Holmes as well. We should be fine at safety.
Shanahan has a rep for playing whoever is playing best.
Fun being a Redskin fan again!
F-yeah!

Defense.

The front 7 - Can we stop the run and can our OLBs cover receivers.
I have a very high opinion of Bob Slowik so the secondary doesn't concern me.

Offense.

Errr, do we have one?

You've gotta forget about the past.

New GM, new coach, new QB, 1/3 of the roster has been turned over. It's a whole new ballgame.
