re: Antonio Bryant cut
Why bother, he's injured and has been a headcase his whole career.

re: Antonio Bryant cut
When thinking of a move like this we have to ask, how much better does this move make the skins? Will this lead to more wins? IMO I'm not sure we are all that improved considering the risks involved.

re: Antonio Bryant cut
If he's healthy enough to play wk 1 sign him... Bryant is a decent #1, whose better than any of our WR's we have now, plus Allen wanted to bring him in anyway.
Opening Day WR's 1. Bryant X 2. Thomas Z 3. Moss Y 4. Armstrong 5. Kelly 6. Banks |

re: Antonio Bryant cut
Opening day starter? This isn't like basketball or baseball where you can simply plug and play. Hypothetically if we signed him it would take at least 4 weeks to get up to speed on the offense.

Re: Antonio Bryant cut
I doubt it would take very long at all. Plus we are 3 weeks out right now. He played in Tampa while Kyle Shanahan was there ...most likely when KS was the WR's coach so he should know him and how good he can be.

re: Antonio Bryant cut
Lose Mr Kelly. Keep Galloway for the 2010 season and draft a WR next year. You can't drop Galloway since he is healthy and has shown us he still has something in the tank. I rather have a 38 year old WR that is healthy, runs good routes, and can make plays, than an oft injured newbie that has only one decent game of production under his belt.

Re: Anthony Bryant cut
Guy has a sprained ankle, misses almost all of camp. Taylor Jacobs has a guy fall on his belly during a preseason game and doesn't play a down for 3 years for various other injuries. I agree it is not fair comparing the two, but you have to have that in the back of your mind. If it came down to Kelly or Armstrong, who would you keep? or Austin? Kelly started last season and didn't do squat, except for one game.

Re: Anthony Bryant cut
Unfortunately coaches don't always have the option to give athletes a fair shake in games. Sometimes practice is all you get to make an impression, and unfortunately for Kelley he hasn't been able to do either.

Re: Antonio Bryant cut
You can dump Kelly at this point. We paid him similarly to what the Bengals did with Bryant. Except ours was over a 2 1/2 year period. We got nothing out of a 2nd round pick.

re: Antonio Bryant cut
Bryant could be a total steal for us so why not give the guy a look. IF we get him, we better keep Galloway though over Kelly.

re: Antonio Bryant cut
Is it guaranteed that Shanahan will keep six wideouts?
Also, I don't see how Malcolm Kelly has a chance in hell to make the roster. |
