Here's an item to make you feel a little less frustrated by Clinton Portis in the last two games.

In the off season, the SF 49ers went out and signed Kevin Barlow to a $20M deal. He is their featured running back and an important cog in whatever they call an offense out there these days.

Last weekend he carried the ball 9 times for a total of 20 yards. And he too was on the bench for all of the 4th quarter.

It actually does happen to other teams too ...
