I read the offensive review and then the defensive one. I certainly agree that the pass rush was anemic outside of Rak and it shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out. Golston getting his ass kicked once again is no surprise. His other great showings of getting his ass kicked came against the Lions last hear and on the Johnathan Stewart TD.

And yep, I pretty much agreed with most of the offensive review, except for Matthews' departure not having any effect.

But hey, the optimism train must go on.

We need Haynesworth to collapse the pocket next week, and really force significant pressure.

Manning with time is unstoppable, but if we can get him to rush his throws... we can get those beloved turnovers.

All we have to do is get some real pressure and make uncomfortable and then he starts throwing uncharacteristically. If dude gets pressured he turns into your best friend for a Defense. Thats what I have always took from him in that situation.

"Last year". Sleep deprivation is not my friend, even after a nap.

Dont you think Dock should be in? At least active. I kinda surprised how poor Kory has shown, and what i saw with run blocking (not just with Kory but the entire interior) we couldnt get any push in the middle and 9 times outta 10 we were getting seriously blown back, clogging up the back field. Green Bay is a hellava D line, but come on man. The interior Oline positions probably gonna need to see some more talent come in the offseason.

The point that I don't read the threads or the point that I sometimes take shots at people?

Oh? The first page of this thread had the most sensible talk out of all the threads regarding the Packers game.

Huh? The o-lines struggles seriously perplex me. Shanny has ALWAYS put together an elite line OR been able to get them to overachieve. My sense is we've got a talent problem across the interior and maybe at RT, but where does that leave you? Why did we extend Rabach. Why didn't we find legit replacements to fit the Shanny scheme at LG, RG?

My concern is w/ McNabb staying healthy longterm while taking the shots he's taking.

I think the previous regime's throwing away draft picks, not drafting O-linemen when they had the chance, or drafting guys who weren't good or were incompatible with Shanny's system(see Rhinehart) all play a part in that.

Also, we did trade away some more picks for McNabb and Brown.

Re: Belated Redskins-Packers Reviews

Getting McNabb was solid. I would trade the picks away in a heartbeat again for him.

We still have problems on the Oline, but the line is improved since last year.

I still see problems on our line but the unit is not any where near last years level of bad. My hope is that Brown does and can return to form by the middle of the year, hopefully as we make our push to win this division.

I also would like to see Dock back in the game.

GB also has one of the toughest front 7s in football. They make good Olines look mediocre.

We did win this game and still have the lead in the NFC East. So Smoot pass me some more koolaid.

How will people feel if we beat the Colts?

We should beat them if Manning is off. I'd be pissed if someone other than Manning was responsible for beating us. We should be able to run on them and stop their running game.

Haslett should be able to affect Manning's performance with a good plan to attack him and the offense.

Relying on Peyton to just have an off day is not the greatest strategy. I believe we have a defense that can accomplish this.
