With our QB's and line issues its really hard to tell what we have for WR's.

1. QB
2. BEST AVAILABLE OFFENSIVE LINEMEN (NEED DEPTH ACROSS THE BOARD)
3. BEST AVAILABLE OFFENSIVE LINEMEN (NEED DEPTH ACROSS THE BOARD)
4. BEST AVAILABLE OFFENSIVE LINEMEN (NEED DEPTH ACROSS THE BOARD)
5. QB
6. ILB
7. CB

This would be my 7 round draft strategy.

Our QB and OL combined play just drags on you mentally week after week.

Next Years Starting Receivers: Hankerson, Moss, Austin
Next Years Receivers for Depth: Paul, Robinson/Armstrong

Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed

I think it's fair to say the strong majority of people here think QB is 1st priority. I would ask what are the priorities after that?

Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed

And other positions do matter, IMO. For example, Andy Dalton wouldn't be as successful as he is right now without AJ Green. The Bengals lost a lot at WR and and they had a plan (risky as it was) to get a strong starter at QB and WR.

That is the kind of stuff I would like to see.

1. QB (draft 2)
2. New Starting Guard or Center
3. ILB
4. CB (need a nickel or a starter to move Josh Wilson to nickle)
5. 1# WR

Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed

I do agree that OL should be next. I think if we can keep our current draft slots we can ACTUALLY continue to rebuild. I loved our draft this year and think since we have tons of picks that really haven't been traded away, we can draft some top tier linemen after our first pick on a QB.

QB

then "offensive playmaker" someone, anyone that can put some fear into an opposing team.

I would add, I might not want to move up to get Luck, cost is too high, I wouldn't mind if they traded a few lesser picks (maybe both our 4th's) to get back into the late first round. Would have to see how the draft is panning out.

I know the qb market loooks good, but what about WR's? lotta depth or whole lotta nothin?

Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed

QB!!!!!!!! Whatever we need to do we somehow need to find a way to draft Luck. Then the 0-line comes next. For people complaining about the defense...yeah it wasn't perfect yesterday, there were breakdowns, but they still gave up 23 and they kept being put back on the field. I wouldn't do a damn thing to the defense. The lack of scoring has to stop. The next draft and free agency is geared towards the offense.

Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed

I think a good QB with our healthy offensive line from this year should workout fine. I remember in some of the earlier games, our line protected the QB well, the problem was the QB. Other than depth, the concern with the o-line is J. Brown's regression and Kory Licht's return from his injury. If J. Brown continues to play the way he is or if KL doesn't look good after coming back from his injury, we may be looking at replacing one of those two (or both).
