Oh and for us real skins fans who stick with our squad week in and out.. Just wait for next yr when we have a true QB and more depth I can't wait

Re: Scud's Studs (Week 11 vs Dallas)

only saw the 2nd half with no audio but the skins offense passing attack looked professional, the lack of run game i think is the reason we have such a bad record, single biggest factor by alot imo. not a fan of the corner fade but rex and stallworth made great plays at a super clutch time.

the D seemed to give up some heart breaking pass plays (witten TD, romo connecting on 3rd and long in OT).

im happy the skins fans who went got an exciting game. lets face it. going to a game at fed ex to watch this 3-7 team is alot to ask for from fans. from the pain in the ass traffic trying to get in and out, to finding parking, to food and drink prices, to loud obnoxious cowboy fans and a good chance of a crappy view . . . skins fans put up with alot.

Yeah, but going to a Skins vs Cowboys game, dude its like the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca for Skins fans, you have to do it once in your life. Nothing like it. Been once and it was the Skins blowout game Gibbs vs Parcells 4 oclock game bout 5-6 years ago. It was fukin rad. Went with a Cowboys fan too...lololololololol perfect. I was hammer time too

I was very happy to see Stallworth make some big catches, not least of which was that TD reception

Also happy to see Grossman play smart for almost the whole game.

Unsung stud-Darrel Young. That catch and run on the final drive was great

Re: Scud's Studs (Week 11 vs Dallas)

I'd consider our D-Line "studs" this week...

DeMarco Murray - 25 Carries for 73 yards... 2.9 per carry.

This is after carving up the league for the past 3 games. I was very glad to see that today.

Also... 4 sacks when Romo hadn't been sacked in 3 games. I know there were 4 times he KILLED us (they decided the game) by eluding our pressure... but coverage needs the majority of the blame there.

Good points about the D. However, it's not quite strong enough deodorant to cover up the smell of our 3rd down defense today, particularly late in the game.

Oh heck, yes, I agree on the 3rd and long D especially... but the D-Line was who I was praising... and in those situations, they DID flush Romo from the pocket... it's just that a guy was wide open by 10 yards every time he did. lol

Which leads me to another side note...

Add cornerback (at least one) to a MUST HAVE for the offseason.

Yeah, and I don't know if it's been really talked about, but we may be without Josh Wilson (hamstring) for a while. That's gonna hurt. Without him we don't have a cover corner with a lick on this team.

I see it the other way around, I thought our 4 sacks were mainly coverage sacks. romo beat us downfield on plays in which the coverage held long enough for a sack or hurry, but neither happened. He left the pocket not as much due to pressure, but in anticipation of pressure & to get a better angle. Far too much time back there for him & when he left the pocket, he was never forced to throw off balance.

Someone who has not been mentioned so far is Polumbus. The Skins' interior offensive line play was better here than it has been all season long. Perhaps this kid is a real player? Time will tell but the first showing was positive.

yeah, he ended up matched up w/speed rushers too, they really tested him. Got beat several times but held his own for the most part. He got hit w/a really bogus holding call in 1st half that negated a big play to Davis.

I kind of felt that Orapko was assigned to keep Romo contained rather then just rush him. It seemed like Orapko stayed in front of him and to his outside while the presure came from Romo's right and in front of him in order to keep romo from running to his left. I dont know how true this is, but it seemed this way to me.

I really liked the way our front 7 played. I would love to see Neild get some more reps, he could end up being a stud.

If that's the case, he didn't do much of a job as Romo rollled to his side to make several big plays. In fact, I don't recall one in which Romo scrambled to his right.

On a similar note, read J. Kleim's wash examiner 10 observatons article (link on left hand side of warpath home pg.). He said he heard from a dallas source that the plan was to run to Rak's side.

This I refer back to my post last week leading up to the game when Dallas announced that Tony Fiametta would not be making the trip to Landover.

Like I said: Before Fiametta was there at full back, Cowboys averaged 86 yards per game rushing the ball. After Fiametta joined the Cowboys averaged over 176 yards per game.

I said last week that the loss of Fiametta blocking for Murray was a huge blow to the Cowboys running game. And it showed.
