Re: Where does RGIII rank?

The way schaub has been playing the past couple games, he might be near the top 10 as well. But I do think that RG3 is higher than rothlisberger and ryan. You give griffin roddy white, julio jones and tony gonzales, then you would have the best offense in the league, bar none. Matt Ryan, while good, is nowhere near as good as our guy, sorry.

Re: Where does RGIII rank?

The running plays a major factor. I put him somewhere around 12-14 range, which is pretty damn good for a rookie. Is he better than guys like Freeman, Dalton, Flacco,Stafford? I think it's too early to tell.

Flacco, Freeman, E. Manning, P. Manning, Rodgers, Stafford, Bradford, Rivers, Dalton, Brady, Schaub, Cutler, and many other QBs around the NFL has never done what RG3 has done this season. As a rookie, RG3 outshines them all. How many of those QBs ever had thrown for 2500 yards, 16 TDs, only 4 INTs, and a 104.6 Qb rating through their first 11 games as a pro? None of them!!!

W/out question he takes care of the ball. But I'd say our offense is a bit different from Green Bay's, Detroit, New England and even Indy. Those teams are pass first offenses where we're play action first offense. I don't think RG3 would have the stats he does if he played in a pass first offense. He'd probably have a few more picks, a lower completion % but more yards. That's not taking anything away from RG3, it's just that those teams play a higher risk type of offense. I think Luck leads the league in pass attempts. What I like most about RG3 is he does things that don't show up in the stat sheet and he can impact the game in more ways than one.

Most of the teams you mentioned have starting quarterbacks who very accurate with the football. Rg3 came from a high percentage bubble screen type offense at Baylor and he has played admirably. When you look at Griffin III play the first thing yo notice is that he makes all his throws count. He doesn't waste passes and this is the reason why he's able to take care of the ball. You'll never see him have 16 TDs and 20 INTs like Rex Grossman.

Re: Where does RGIII rank?

Before the GB game ESPN stats had the top 5 with respect to qb passer rating as:

1. Aaron Rodgers, GB 107.3
2. Peyton Manning, DEN 106.2
3. Tom Brady, NE 105.0
4. Robert Griffin III, WSH 104.6
5. Alex Smith, SF 104.1

He also has 642 yds rushing (# 17 on the rushing list, 16 is Trent Richardson, 18 is Matt Forte)

Also, insofar as interception to td ratio among the 5 rookie qb's:
Griffin 16 TD 4 Int
Wilson 15 TD 8 Int
Tannehill 6 TD 11 Int
Luck 12 TD 12 Int
Weeden 11 TD 12 Int

In fact the only number that I could really find him lacking a top 10 ranking is in total yards. 228/game ranked 20th.

Overall, if he even stays steady, we should see at least 1 SB win, and hopefully multiple trips.

And you know, all those numbers don't even cover the intangibles that he seems to have in Spades:
Football Intelligence
Leadership ability
Ability to be taught
Plays big in big games.

This kid knows what to say, and how to say it:
Robert Griffin III would vote Washington Redskins teammate Alfred Morris as top rookie - ESPN
Quote:
"My vote would go to Alfred Morris, because I wouldn't vote for myself. I think that's extremely conceited and I'm not that person, so I'd vote for Alfred Morris," Griffin told the NFL Network. "He's my running back, he's had a very quiet but very great season for a running back, and I'm proud to have him on this team."

...

"Going into college, I was compared to Terrelle Pryor a lot, and now coming into the pros, it's going to be me and Andrew Luck. And like I tell everybody, I don't ever root against quarterbacks, and I want him to have a great career as well. If they are going to continue to compare us, hopefully we are the best comparison of all time," he said in the "NFL AM" interview.

Re: Where does RGIII rank?

Right now RG3 is top 5

Next year he ll be top 3
Every QB suffers a sophomore slump; his will be two games max of a slump

Yes he will lead us to a Super Bowl

Re: Where does RGIII rank?

Hard to believe he's doing all this at the ripe old age of 22.
