First of all, this item in on "redskins.com" which is not exactly the place you go for anything short of unabashed optimism and team enthusiasm. Don't beat yourselves up by going back and reading what people there had to say about the unbelieveable good fortune that the Redskins had last year in convincing Mark Brunell to come here and lead the team to glory. Articles there are fluff turned out by the Redskins' FO and PR departments.
Secondly, there was a considerable amount of expectation that Barrow's career was over and that he would never play again. So, relative to that scenario, anything short of him being a multiple amputee would qualifty as being "ahead of schedule" for playing this year. I hope Barrow can make it back; he was a good player and he seems to be a good person. But I won't rely on "redskins.com" as my source of information on his condition - either optimistic or pessimistic.

I hate to be pessimistic, but he's right. Redskins.com isn't going to post an article saying: "Barrow's knee is completely f*cked - details later."
