brunell is strong enough to push the cart we call the redskins. campbell isn't strong enough to push the cart yet.

Re: New Bandwagon - Start Campbell?
If we want to be the Bears, then start Campbell, otherwise Brunell is a much better choice right now. Who knows, I don't wish anything bad on Brunell, but what happens the next time he gets hit and has to come out? Who goes in, Ramsey or Campbell? Wouldn't it be interesting if Brunell got hurt and Ramsey lead a great comeback error free!

Re: New Bandwagon - Start Campbell?
This shit is getting ridiculous. Everyone, with the exception of a few, have written this team off due to the QB change. With a defense as good as this one, anything is possible here people. Don't give up hope!!! I don't agree with the change either, but I do know that Gibbs knows football and the team he is coaching a hell of alot better than any of us.
Lets hope like hell he is right on this and stand behind it 100%. If it doesn't work out over the long term, then we can question the judgement of the king. But until then, all these threads about starting Campbell and Ramsey getting the shaft should come to an end until he has actually killed the teams chances. And to the best of my knowledge, that hasn't happened yet...even with a loss Monday Night in Dallas, it wouldn't be a disaster.

I totally Agree!! as do the twenty or so guys that watch the redskins games at spectators sports bar in Kent Wa, all that came out of the mouth of one of the guys last sunday was Jason Campbell!!! Let the kid do what he was drafted to do we all know Ramsey cant get it done!!! and as for Brunell if he gets racked just once he,s done. so i will repeat!! in the words of my fellow redskin Brian!!( JASON CAMPBELL!!!)

Re: New Bandwagon - Start Campbell?
Absolutely not......for all of the reasons I said we shouldn't have drafted him to begin with........he just isn't capable of grasping an NFL offense (yet / maybe ever). Count me in as one person who will never be on this bandwagon (and yes, I still hope I'm wrong about him).

Re: New Bandwagon - Start Campbell?
I want the best QB to start. At the moment that's Brunell, soon it'll be Campbell. Personally I'd love to see Campbell start.
This is one of the many reasons I'm not a HC, that and I make rookies cry. |

Re: New Bandwagon - Start Campbell?
Ideally, you like to DEVELOP your rookie QBs, not toss them in the fire for short-term gain. Maybe we'll get to the point this year where we've got nothing to lose by going to the rook, but I don't think we're there yet.
My guess is Brunnell gets a lot of rope by which to hang himslef, but if he's hurt, it's back to PR. Some of this switch is designed to light a fire under PR, and to convince him, a la Rypien, that he CANNOT turn the ball over. Maybe it'll work, and we'll see an improved Ramsey yet this year. Bring Campbell along right--rememeber: PRs development has been rushed, and it's messed him up, IMO.
