Re: Gibbs Fined
Can any one say motivation, for him self and the team........... I like it when Gibbs starts getting on Refs and the press.
It reminds me of the old Joe Gibbs... Who use to snap at reports left and right..... This nice guy, laughing and joking, Joe gibbs is not the coach I remembered. Not that he was a bad guy, but if you said something back in the day that Gibbs though was stuipid he would call you on it. He couldn't stand someone trying to say his teams was going to win or was a favorite. I think this fine doesn't change him from being critical to the refs. |

Re: Gibbs Fined
Coach Gibbs will pay the fine and put this out of the limelight, I'm sure.
However as a fan who watched those 'fouls', I am upset over a $10K fine to the Coach. Is there anything that we the fans can do to let the NFL/Referee committee know just how we feel about this judgement call? |

Re: Gibbs Fined
My only problem with it is Gibbs didn't get his $10k worth.

Re: Gibbs Fined
Wow 10,000 bucks. Do we need to pitch in and help Coach? That is like losing what 5 bucks for the average person. I wonder if he said how great the refs were and that they did a good job on the bad calls if he would get fined again.

Re: Gibbs Fined
I wonder how long we'll have to put up with third rate officiating?
Anyone see the Colts - Rams game? That call on the Ivy fumble recovery was as blatant as bad calls get. Ump calls change of possession and the ref just gives it to the Colts without even talking to the ump who called it. Mind numbingly awful. The NFL needs to have full time paid professional refs and as much technology to back them up as can be had. Last edited by RedskinRat; 10-18-2005 at 03:25 PM. |

I started a thread about that very thing a year ago after the Dallas game on monday night, lets face it the league is run by the owners, and most if not all the owners hate Snyder, there is no way anyone is going to convince me that the ref's haven't been given a wink, wink, nod, nod, to make sure anything questionable goes against us. Over the coarse of the last 2 years I have seen not bad calls, but suspicious calls, where a ref will make a call from 30 feet away, that is almost none existant against us, and then watch from 10' away as Rod Gardners jersey is ripped off in the end zone on pass inter. which is not called, as Gibbs stated things are a little funny, yea just a little, it's also kind of funny how the NFL wont allow you to critisize the refs even when you have sufficient proof, in other words if the ref shows throughout a game that he's capable of making a tough call or none existant call against you, but incapable of making an easy call for you there's a problem, It's as if Vince McMahon is incharge of the referees. For joe Gibbs to come out with that kind of a statement is huge, it was a kind way of saying, I really believe there's something going on here other than just bad calls, essentially challenging the NFL and their legitamacy, integrity, and honesty, as an organazation. |

Re: Gibbs Fined
Did anyone find it suspicious on KC's first TD drive that we couldn't get a replay of the fumble by the sidelines which all the skins were jumping up and down that we got the ball? Kind of ironic that they wont show a replay of something like that, kind of tells me that the NFL really didn't want anyone to see it, I wonder why?

Re: Gibbs Fined
okay, so if Gibbs makes $5,000,000 per year and gets fined $10,000 then it is like a guy making $50,000 per year getting fined $100. He'll survive.
Funny part is Snyder may just give him a $10,000 bonus for giving the after practive interview. No rule against that.
