Re: Presidential Race 2024

I find it strange some think that Walz could cost Harris the Election but Vance will not cost trump the election? Sorry but IMPO people aren't making their voting choices based on the VP's in this election it is based on trump or anti trump. Right or wrong but it's how I see it.

I guess I view left as relative. I prefer to think I will vote for you if you are the right person for the job. (I voted Hogan twice, I voted Chris West our State Senator and Wade Kach our County council all Republicans because while I might not agree with them on every issue I appreciate some of what they have done). For the President for me that is they have to make civil liberties a priority over corporate interests. I have voted for Jill Stein. I did not in 2020 because she did the bat shit crazy anti vaxxer thing to cater to the home schooling hippies. Prior I voted Ralph Nader. Basically if you were interested in the rights of the worker and those whose voice is drowned because we decided having money = having a voice.

Re: Presidential Race 2024

This article highlights the problem the Dems refuse to see (which will continue if they win). Both parties need a massive course correction, but whoever wins won't make that correction.

"....We are three weeks out from Election Day and one thing has become clear: Trump might actually win.

A Trump win would raise a lot of questions for Republicans. He's an objectively bad candidate who doesn't represent conservatism well.

However, it would raise even more questions for Democrats. How could they have lost to such a uniquely awful opponent.......

...In the past couple of decades, the Democratic Party has built its foundation around far-left ideas. If Trump wins reelection, it will be yet another indication that much of the nation has rejected such progressive policies.""

I believe Trump will win. I believe there are a ton of voters who are voting on nothing more than the price of eggs. They are too stupid and uninformed to understand that post COVID inflation was a global problem and not specific to the US. They probably can't stand the guy but have been convinced that the country was better under Trump based entirely on their grocery bill.

So they will hold their nose and vote for Donald Trump and their vote counts as much as mine does.

No , it doesn't . The Electoral College will see to that. That is the only thing that will save trump.

I think too many have turned their backs on Trump, all of his let's say more casual supporters have seriously dwindled. Trump fatigue is real. He's down to just a hard core base and that won't be enough, just not buying this bologna about it being a close race.

The polls continue to make it a toss up and Trump has always outperforrmed the polls. I don't see how that can be ignored.

If you're not voting for Trump, then look for another option that isn't Kamala, because she is awful, and Walz is even worse.

It's trump or Harris and only one wants to keep this Country's Democracy going. The other wants a Dictatorship.

But you also want to end the Electoral College. You must be very conflicted. Because you can't want to save our Republic but also want to terminate one of the few things that actually saves it.

yes I do and here is an example why...........

https://news.yahoo.com/news/electora...083351234.html

Electoral College will incinerate a half-million Kansas votes for Kamala. That’s a problem.

I agree everyone's vote should count, the electoral College takes that away

Trump won 56% of the popular vote in Kansas in 2020. So to "save" the above votes you would then need to "incinerate" the majority of Kansas votes. The Electoral College is the only thing that gives Kansas as a state any voice at all.

I'm a one issue voter this cycle, stopping Trump. Harris is the only viable option to accomplish that issue. My vote was never "for" her.

If you could replace Trump with a the 1st repulican you would actually vote for, who would it be? I have a tough time getting a read on your overall views. This might make it a little easier. What repulican would you like to be president in January?
