He's OK. Can get somebody with better upside in the draft in rounds 1 or 2.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Knighton would be fine as a not-quite last resort - assuming it was the right price. He had a "prove it" deal and, well, he proved he was average at best. At the same time, he provided good leadership and character to the locker room.
If Scot's guy isn't there in the draft or other positions have better players when we pick, I have no problem bringing Knighton back at a less-than-prove-it deal. He is not the disruptive force he was in Denver two years ago (that may be b/c he is not surrounded by the other disruptive forces that were in Denver at the time), but he is a solid pro who knows the D, knows the personnel, and knows what it takes to win. "Well, we need to find somebody."

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
As long as he doesn't take reps away from Crowder, I'm down with having more depth even if it's super old depth. Grant hasn't really progressed...

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Boldin had 69 receptions despite mediocre QB play....great blocker, tough red zone receiver.... He would be a good addition for a year or two..... if the price is right
FWIW Knighton is visiting the Redskins tomorrow. The odds the visit involves a scale is 99.9% |

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
boldin was never a speed guy, so he can probably still be pretty good. he catches, blocks, runs hard. huge upgrade over roberts (who i think is still alive, somewhere in space and time). AB is a bit more than just a guy, and would be a decent 1 year rental.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Hey why not... he'll probably be back with another one year deal at $4 or $5 mill or something. Dropping 30lbs is a good sign that Knighton wants to be here.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Hell yea!
Boldin is built like a brick shit house. I'd take him for a short term contract.
