My money says Peyton hits the open market March 8.
The owner made a comment saying that he would never trade Manning. If he's healthy he's playing if he's not he will cut him. I too think Manning will be let go and will be a FA, but my concern is will he be healthy? we've heard rumors that a ton of FB players get the same surgery and return to playing all the time. We hear Payton was informed he could start working out a little harder. Then we hear there is a rumor that Paytons doctor basically said Payton should not play FB ever again for possibly face being paralized.

Whats the truth? Will he be able to play? Why is it taking longer then the 12 weeks stated that it normally takes to get back on the field? Should a ton of money be thrown at Payton for him to play somewhere only to find out he can't play? Would Vet min. get him? lol. and lastly since he loves the game of FB would he be willing to sign a contract that if he can't play then he will be an Asst. Coach in some capacity? I think his knowledge alone would be extremely valuable to the team and any QB brought in if he was willing.

I have to wonder what they are waiting for when it comes to filling these positions. I know LB just came available but how long will the WR position sit open?

ESPN 980 (I think) mentioned Rick Venturi because of his ties to Haslett. It's also entirely possible they just reshuffle some current coaches already on the staff

Washington Redskins defensive backs coach Bob Slowik could take over as the team's linebackers coach after linebackers coach Lou Spanos left the team. The team hired assistant coach Raheem Morris to help out the defensive backs.

Re: Coaching Changes

Not too bad of a job to have considering we have Fletcher (hopefully), Orakpo, Kerrigan, and I guess Riley. Decent depth too. Mostly young and athletic across the board.

Re: Coaching Changes

This is why Ross is an idiot as an owner and keeps striking out with his first choice for HC.
