Agree with all of this.

Quick is a big guy with good speed. Yes, he hasn't lived up to 'potential' yet, but he's played with some of the WORST QBs in the league. He's a bit of a gamble, but his up-side is way higher than the amount the Skins paid for him. If he can catch well thrown balls, I believe he can be a big part of the offense for very little down side.

Maybe not a starter, but definitely should help as much or more as any 8-10 yr old re-tread. I'd also put him ahead of most rookie DE's, so I wouldn't waste #17 on a highly rated DE, especially if they're light in the ass (under 260 lbs).

I really don't think we'll be that bad at DE as others do. It isn't all about sacks. Our D-line first and foremost needs to Stop the Run.

Our OLB's are good, especially if we get Gallete back and/or Preston steps up, along with Kerrigan, we should generate enough pass rush to contend.
i've heard Lanier is up to 290 now and all is moving very well . . . i thin he could not only become a starter, but a stud at DE . . . though i think it will take a couple of years for him to get to that status

Between Pryor and Quick, anyone else think we're going to see a lot of that fade route we all loved so much last season? I guess they're focused on curing our red zone problems, which is a good thing. Doctson, Pryor, Quick and Reed all at once -- hard to cover that kind of elevation potential.

My thing is that the only way Quick does much of anything for us is if Doctson isn't healthy. And that would be bad news overall.

Still, another big body. I can see Quick being an asset in the red zone if we spread out 4 or 5 wide. That is an obvious focus this offseason.
I don't mind looking at the bright side, but if he's Rod Gardner 2.0 it will reflect poorly on us. Still I believe the players around him will allow him every opportunity to excel.

Absolutely.

Doctson is going to be Green/Hopkins 2.0

Hopefully we can convert one of these guys to an ILB. We need to address team speed on D.

I wouldn't say we NEED a rb. Sure it would be nice to have a legit work horse.

But run blocking wasn't great last year.

I'd be fine with improving that and letting Kelley, CT, Brown and Jones (if he fixed his fumbling issue) compete and share the work load.

We'll get a good RB after the first round. Check out Samaje Perine (OK). He's 233 lbs. and extremely hard to tackle. Or, Jeremy McNicols (Boise St.). Does everything well and is noted for his pass protection. We might even get Joe Mixon (OK). He is spectacular both running and receiving.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings

I think we really need an impact player in the middle of our defense. Nobody brings to mind the word impact like Reuben Foster. Check out his highlights. They are UFB, particulary his hits on ST kick coverage. He could possibly fall to #17 where he would be a steal.

Haason Reddick might also be a good pick at #17. We might even be able to trade down and still get him.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings

I would say we absolutely need a rb.

Best case scenario for the upcoming draft is the first 2 picks spent in the front 7 of the defense. And then we go Running Back in the 3rd round. Hopefully grab an interior o lineman with one of the picks in the 4th round.
