I have seen him play for two years now, and I don't think he is good enough for the first round. Seems like this is a poor CB draft.
i think some of the talent eval on that mock is off. on NDS he's the 21st rated CB and a 5-6th round pick.

That seems to make alot more sense. I think whoever did this mock, just randomly put people he felt were good, onto a list.

Good point, right on. This question is for everyone.

Lets say for sake of arguement we bring in Nate Clements next year. What happens to Springs?

The three options:

1)We cut Springs, save the cap room and resign/sign a nickelback.

2)We keep Springs on board, demote Rogers and start Clements and Springs.

3)We keep Springs, demote him to the nickle role, and start Rogers along side Clements.

For me the choice is pretty obvious, but I want to hear what the warpath thinks.

cutting springs saves no cap room over keeping him, so that'd make no sense (and oh yeah, springs is still a true #1 CB). it's choice #2, cause rogers hasn't figured out how to play in the NFL yet, and he'd have plenty of snaps there. we could possibly move springs to safety as well.

I say choice one, Rogers is improving, and cap space will be nice to help with the AA cut(hopefully)

If we're picking top 5, then I would definitely trade down to get more mid-round picks. I think the first thing to address is the line......it doesn't matter which one...offense or defense.

I know Malcolm mentioned earlier that he was happy with Golston, and I agree, but I think Salave'a will be gone and we'll need much more depth. As for the o-line, if we can get a stud guard to replace/challenge Dockery, I'm all for it. Maybe a lineman who can play both guard and center.....

Of course another position to address would be the corner position or safety.

I like the idea of Gaines Adams. He is plug and play. Who is the monster MLB this year?

If we have a top 5 pick, we could most likely trade it for a lower 1st and a early 2nd/middle 2nd or more. Teams that feel like they just need that one player salivate over high draft picks. Unless there is a can't miss beast of a player sitting there then maybe, but we need depth!!

well damn, if we have a 1st rounder, then we REALLY have no reason to not play Campbell..

CB!! Can never have enough good CB! Greg D needs CB that can go one on one.

Not a QB. Very, very, bad risk/cost to reward ratio with 1st round QBs.

That said, obviously depending on quality of players available, either side of the line or CB. Probably don't need to go WR.
