Re: Cutting Archuleta & The Salary Cap
CC: taking that big a hit might kill any chance to improve the team (ONE useful draft pick)... that's the problem with the credit car mentality though. It's always tempting to just keep pushing the payments down the road.

3-4s generally use bigger outside linebackers, not smaller ones.

Re: Cutting Archuleta & The Salary Cap
I say suck it up and find a way to use him. If Williams truly is a genius he should be able to turn chicken sh!t into chicken salad. Archuletta has skills, he can tackle and is very fast. There has to be a role for him.
There is nothing worse than cutting a guy, continuing to pay him and then he lines up against you. |

Re: Cutting Archuleta & The Salary Cap
the more i think about this along with AA heading to the chopping block...how about andre carter? is it too soon to call him a bust? better yet when will the skins wake up and realize he (AC) is playing out of position. again as i have posted in the past...AC needs to play linebacker. If Ellis for the boys can convert so can AC

Re: Cutting Archuleta & The Salary Cap
I know he is stinking it up this year, but lets give the guy a chance. He has a lot of tools, speed , size , can tackle very well. and the guys works really hard. he was rushed in here, given the keys and really didn't have any idea of what to do. I think during the offseason, another preseason, he will be just fine. This time next year everyone will be talking about us having the best safety tandem in the league.
