I think he's better than Bradford at least, and given some time to get comfortbable would likely become our No. 2 WR. |

Re: Doug Gabriel
We also need to consider just how much playing time a 5th wide receiver would get. Since the Saunders Offense calls for tight ends and full backs, the game day roster will have at most 4 wideouts.
If there's any truth to this -- and that's a big if, you'd have to think that they're considering dumping either Thrash or Lloyd. I just don't see that happening. Especially when you consider the time Campbell has spent with the recievers he already has. I still can't figure out what the advantage is of a "possession" wideout who's over 6'2". Aren't all wide receivers "possession" receivers anyway? Everyone you throw to, you'd still like to have possession of the ball. |

Re: Doug Gabriel
Doug Gabriel = no thanks. Just cause he is tall does not mean he is any good. He couldn't even stay on in NE last year.

Re: Doug Gabriel
Unless some gem happens to become available, I don't see much out there that could really change our wr situation. Are the coaches in fear of more injuries or do they really want to replace somebody? Loyd is the only dude I could see getting cut of the top 4 wr's, and I think they're trying to give him a chance to redeem himself. Plus the cap impact.
If R. Williams were to be available, he'd be a great addition, but as someone posted earlier talk of his release wasn't accurate. He's a good #2 wr. |

Re: Doug Gabriel
Allow myself to quote...myself. He did a nice job of getting his feet down.

Re: Doug Gabriel
I'd rather sign David Terrell.
