I agree with everyone that said they gained some respect for the Cowboys after Sean's death, and off the field I know how much respect Roy Williams had for Sean so I'm sure he will do something special to honor him. RW may suck in coverage but he's one of the classier players in the league.

Re: Roy Williams Filling in for Sean Taylor in Pro Bowl

I am on board with the whole "gained new respect for the cowboys and Roy Williams" sentiment. As much fun as it is to hate the Cowboys and their players, I bear them no real ill-will. Almost every Cowboy fan who has posted on this site has been respectfully contentious. At games, Cowboy fans are, at times, obnoxious as they root for their team but, from my experience, rarely are they assholes.

With respect to ST's death, I think it indicative of the fan base that, while both Cowboy and Giants fans have come on this site and expressed their remorse and respect, Eagles fans have been nowhere to be seen. Personally, heresy though it may be, I have a great deal more hate for Eagle's fans then Cowboy's fans. It is my sincerest hope that we can win the SB, if for no other reason than it will cause Philly fans to implode and sink into a bile ridden swamp of envy and bitterness.

Sorry for the hijack - to repeat: Props to Roy Williams for his comments.

I agree about the Giants and Cowboys fans, they've been nothing but supportive and nice about the whole situation. Eagles fans though, I lost what little respect I had for them when I went to some random Eagles board and I saw that pretty much everyone there was referring to the Redskins as the Femorals. Then again I shouldn't have been too suprised anyways.

Re: Roy Williams Filling in for Sean Taylor in Pro Bowl

For the record, and I have said this on my Cowboys forum also, I do not think Roy Williams earned that spot, there is no way he should have finished that high in the voting. The best thing to happen to a Tight Ends career is Roy Williams in coverage. Just ask Chris Cooley. Many Cowboy fans echo my sentiments as well.

I, for one, am a proponent of not filling that roster spot as a fitting tribute to Sean. It is his, he earned and it is his in life as it is in death.

On a side note I have to say that the animosity between Cowboys and Redskins is solely with the fan base. We hate your players, you hate ours.

But the truth of the matter is that Roy and Sean were actully really close friends. Not just mutal respect, but they were truly friends. And RW will be the first one to tell you that. Not sure if you guys know it or not, but the entire Dallas safety corps took time off to go to Seans funeral and visit with his family.

NFC team should honor Sean Taylor on the first snap only ten players like we did.

He will wear the #21 jersey. I guess I was 1/2 right.
