If the price for CJ is a second and sixth and I don't see the drawback to making that move.
We have a new head coach who has enough to worry about without some me-first clown complaining when things aren't going well. I also don't want him getting in JC's face everytime the ball isn't thrown his way. I have a VERY vivid memory of Stinko arguing with Carson Palmer after an interception that turned out to be Johnson's fault because he ran the wrong route. He would be a locker-room cancer and I don't think it's worth poisoning the team. I'd rather take our chances with a receiver in the second or third round, and see what Anthony Mix can do -- given that he and JC have a history together.

I agree. I rather suffer for another year at WR and find a solution next year than have CJ suit up as a Redskin. I know he's a great wide out but I agree that his attitude would affect the present coaching staff.

Sorry but Chad Johnson is not Randy Moss. Moss is one of the greatest WR's to ever play football. You team him up with one of the best QB's to ever play the game and you have an offensive explosion. CJ will help us but he's not going to have the same impact that Moss did. Besides we need those draft picks in the worst way. I keep saying this but we can not afford to ignore the O-line another year.

I agree 100% with you right here. But I would say, I wouldn't be upset if Chad Johnson came to us though. I just hope we can land us a STUD possession receiver soon. (young)

I would be upset if we gave up two draft picks. Plus he wants a new deal. Plus he brings a lot of drama. I would be willing to bet that if the FO really did their homework they could find a potential stud at wr in the 3rd round. Look at Brandon Marshall?? Wasn't TO a 3rd rounder? What about Greg Jennings?? Marcus Colston?? IMO our FO does a decent job drafting and finding bargain talent. It's picking the FA's is where the problem comes in.

I agree with you 100% also CJ is not RM. and....well I don't think Moss is the greatest WR ever....he's had his share of problems. While with the Vikes he had his issues. Dropping ball and not making plays. I beleive he wanted out of there partly because of the QB play and he not getting the ball enough(plus more money). So he goes to the Raiders. There he has piss pour QBing causing piss pour performance. So he leaves for a team with playoff contention. ie...Patriots. Now he has a good QB and gets the ball alot. No complaints like when he was with the Vikes or Raiders. Hmmmm.
Lets see CJ has had a piss pour QB most of his career and has done well. Ok bring up Palmer. I don't think he's a great QB like Bradey but he is good and CJ still put up the numbers. If giving up a draft pick this yr and one next yr will get CJ then it's not hurting us in the worst way. Draft a WR and its hit or miss and some say they are not ready for atleast 2 yrs. CJ is ready now. He's proven and has played in the league and knows how to get seperation against the NFL's best not like an unknown who we have to find out if he can play with the big boys. CJ would make this team 100 times better. Teams would have to figure out who to cover. Double CJ, Moss or El or Cooley has to be open. There would be no stacking the box against Portis.
The O-line is not bad but does need back up help. I say not bad cause the O-linemen will not be asked to hold there blocks as long. Hopefully they will be able to open up some holes for Portis like he had in Denver. It also depends a lot on the type of O-lineman we have. Gibbs always like the big beafy lineman but they are slower. A lot of schemes need the smaller quicker lineman for some of the blocking schemes.
We definitly need a tall talented WR who can play. We need a DE/DL to releive the older guys. We need a CB to help out until Carlos comes back and be available in case he falls out again. We could use another Safety for giggles. Possibly another LB because who knows how Macintosh will fare out with his injury and yes we need O-line. Probably not in that order but our track record with WR has proven horrible. I am not impressed with our WR coach either. I felt we should have gotten rid of him along time ago. So If giving up a draft pick this yr and one next yr gets the deal done then lets do it. We will also have compensatory picks and we could lump one of those in instead of next yrs pick. I have faith in our O-line coach. He is one of the best and can turn almost anyone into pro bowl status. Look at Hayer his first yr as a pro and did pretty well. Imagine how he will do in the future.
I guess I didn't agree 100% after all. Sorry. but to get a proven talented tall WR (which we need) will give Cambell not only someone to put the ball up for but will open other Wr and TE in or corps of weapons to confound the opponents and force them to gamble more causing mayhem and chaos which enables the Skins to hopefully get further in the playoffs as TO helped Dallas, as Moss helped the Patriots, sorry I don't have anything for Detroit....all their WR and they still stink. lol.
