Re: Redskins to have private workout with Sanchez.

It's hard to say how the team views Oher, though. Monroe and Jason Smith are locks to be gone by 13. It's conceivable that Oher and Smith could both make it through. I have a feeling that they'd take Smith over Oher.

I personally see Oher as the better LT prospect of the two, and any tackle you are going to take in the top half of the round should definately be able to play on the left one day. So that's my reasons for supporting Oher over Smith. Still, I get the vibe that the FO really likes Smith, and isn't all that serious about Oher.

In all honesty, I'm probably just overanalyzing non-signals.

Hey i think SmootSmack has mentioned the FO, and maybe the entire Redskins franchise, really like Oher. What I don't get is how some mocks have him falling to the bottom of the first round and some analysts sound less and less impressed w/ him. What's he done to sour things?

For those people who think that there are possibilities for Redskins to draft Sanchez..

Re: Redskins to have private workout with Sanchez.

Well the rumor is that Jason Smith and the Lions have already begun contract negotiations. So that pushes both Stafford and Sanchez down.

Sanchez to the Redskins is not likely, but just for fun...Redskins are part of a three team deal that sends Brennan to the Broncos, Cutler to a 3rd team, some picks to the Redskins, we take Sanchez (but are still able to get an OT and/or LB early in the draft), Campbell starts in 2009...Sanchez steps in in 2010

But seriously, he's not coming here

Post that on the Bleacher Report and we have a full blown rumor on our hands.

Re: Redskins to have private workout with Sanchez.

This is nothing new. All teams have private workouts with top prospects even though they probably won't draft them.

Well to be honest has JC done enough for the team to not look at the QB position. This is his year to show what he can do and if he fails I like having a plan B.

Re: Redskins to have private workout with Sanchez.

Shouldn't Campbell start throwing a tantrum about these trade rumors and now these Sanchez speculations? Maybe some fans in here would like him if he did that.

California at the owners meetings. ( no doubt working on 5 team trades sending every current Redskin to other teams while bringing Mason Mann and McMullen back)

I'm going to start a rumor that I'm doing a private workout for the Redskins...I can see the headlines: "Redskins hold private work out for 30 yr old out of shape guy"

Re: Redskins to have private workout with Sanchez.

Hail Skins! this is my first post. Been a fan for 45 years, seen both good times and bad, and I must say that this year is potentially one to favorably look back on. Love our owner for spending the money (yeah I said it) and not impressed with Vinny Cerrato. Nearly had a fit that they cut Marcus Mason (guy ran his a** off last preseason breaking tackles). Ravens picked him up asap and put him on their taxi squad. I cannot for the life of me understand why they don't monitor Ravens players (known for defense and knocking your head off) to pickup front seven help. I root for the Ravens when not playing us and my feeling is that if they let you go late in preseason or for cap reasons you need to be ready to take close look. Redskin teams have been famous for missing tackles against the run. Thank God for London Fletcher or it would be a disaster. We have a decent defense but it all starts up front and have seen no rush pressure other than Dexter who made Charles Mann shine. Ya heard me? On the offensive side of the ball,(about to piss some people off) I would try to try trick someone to take Cooley (his blocking is pathetic and it is not all because of his size) to really get some help for this team. By the way, I also think he is too slow. Zorn better be able to adapt his offense to his players (as a whole I think we are too slow and do not use the few muscle pass catchers we have to our advantage) or the game will pass him by like Joe Gibbs (yeah I said it). QB Collins and SS Doughty need to go to free up space for talent. God help Vinny on draft day because I think our scouting is very weak (look at what N England staff and spinoffs have been doing the past few years even though I think that bad tuck rule call against the Raiders launched their success sooner. You cannot deny that they have a smart staff and scouting system. As hard as I root against Dallas, I have the utmost respect for their scouts and player talent. We have pretty much been dodging bullets for years. Eagles get the most out of modest talent and Giants are dangerous as well. Later! Hail Skins!
