That's why the NFL provides them with that training. As long as he behaves we won't have to worry too much about it. How much will a 5th rounder be in the media anyways off the bat. He has to worry about making the team first. This isn't directed at you, just a general reply.

Just because ESPN or whatever ranks those other players higher, doesn't mean they are better. NFL teams know more about these guys than the media. Its a fifth round pick. No players are really looking that good coming out of the fifth round.

This guy was a running back for most of college and only played 9 games at linebacker. He showed some flashes in those games, but he is very inexperienced. I don't know if he is going to get good or not, but I'll give the Redskins the benefit of the doubt. The Redskins draft picks have been pretty good lately, (they just haven't had enough of them) so I actually sort of trust them when it comes to players they actually draft.

I am quite surprised this did not set off another 10 pages rehashing the early 2000's

Dumb on this kid's part to lie but I don't think it's a huge issue. Let's not act like we all haven't told a dumb lie or two in our lives.

The kid just got a very early lesson in media relations as a pro. What will be a bigger deal is how he plays in camp. this will be forgotten one way or another, it's not a big deal & at least give him credit for coming clean.

I kinda like the scouting report on this guy. He might've been a reach & I too was pissed we didn't grab an o linemen, but he sounds like an athlete w/room to grow. Hopefully he makes an immediate impact on spec. teams.

If we decide to trade any of our RB (Betts) for a starter quality LB, Then Glenn will be cut since he has proven he is not trustworthy by trying to hide his past. The Redskins don't need roster/lockeroom drama.

You just never know... ask Tom Brady. Obviously, somebody saw something in this guy.

Re: Glenn admits lying about suspension

if he was charged with sexual misconduct but the charges were dropped (girl's story didnt add up, to many inconsistencies/lapses to prosecute without other corroborating evidence) i could see why cody and the univ are keeping things silent to protect cody and the girl whom have a right to privacy regarding allegations of sexual misconduct.

i only got this from one of the comments to the article, sounded like the person was from the univ and an alegation of sexual misconduct sounds like something the school would suspend him 3 games for if he was charged, then wanting to not name names or stir the pot after the charges were dropped due to privacy and embarrasment reasons.

again, just speculation from a comment but it would make sense that cody and the school are going this route for a sexual misconduct charge that was later dropped/dismissed.

go skins!!

from all accounts ive read, he only "lied" to reporters and even then it wasnt to deny or get away with something but to try and not go public with what he had already disclosed to the proper people (his school, local police, skins FO, etc.). it doesnt say he didnt give the skins FO the full story behind closed doors if and when they interviewed him.

go skins!!

there was 32 teams that passed over robinson and meredeth for a reason and in the later rounds its a hit and miss and its mostly misses so why worry if we get a starter out of the deal great if not oh well

Re: Glenn admits lying about suspension

So we learned here that a 5th round pick from Nebraska doesn't know how to handle a delicate question asked by the media - considering he's probably never in his life been exposed to this sort of scrutiny, i can't really blame him. If I wanted to blow some reporters off, i'd just tell them something that was essentially a non-story. A reporter isnt going to investigate selling tickets. One wanting to stir up some dirt (cough) JLC (cough), might pursue a "no comment." I'm not justifying his deceipt, but I understand it. Going to the AP a couple days later and telling them you lied to the Washington Post - that makes no sense at all. Maybe he wants attention?

I couldn't agree with you more! If Buges had seen a lineman he wanted in the 5th round...he would have gotten picked! Herman Jihnson is projected as a G since he doesn't have the feet/agility to be a T. Maybe the Todd Wade experiment was enough for us to give up on the concept of 6'8" guards. Bottom line, this guy was picked to be a special teams contributor (Khary Campbell hasn't re-signed). If he eventually turns into starting material, unlikely,...that would be an unexpected bonus. Some of these other "fans" need to get over their "get an OL at any cost/any reach" complex!!!!!

See you guys always have one single example, Tom Brady. If they knew that Brady would be who he is now they wouldn't have picked him in the 6th, would they have?

Besides we're not even talking about that, Brady wasn't in the media his first year.
