The fine is one thing, but to get docked 25 points and lose first place in the NASCAR standings. That's just absurd

I understand what you are getting at CRT3 and it isn't very professional of Smith, but if I and the world can live with Pete Webber(only bowling fan will probably know of whom I speak of) doing crotch chops on tv, I think flipping someone off isn't a big enough of a lapse in judgement to require Smith being fired (his coaching of the special teams on the other hand...) Plus we all probably flip off someone while driving atleast every couple days or is that just me?

I personally like the guy flipping the bird. I would have liked it even more had he battered some Browns.

I also like Gibbs' class-act. It all depends on the situation.

I defer to Greg Williams. Williams liked Danny Smith a lot, Gibbs seemed to (otherwise he wouldn't have hired the guy). Smith deserves some crap for kick return coverage, but punt return coverage has been quite good and our returns haven't been bad.

Do you take your kids to the game? Or do you flip off people in front of kids? My point is there is a time and place for this. I personally do not have a problem telling someone he is a asshole or flipping them off, for christ sake I am in the fod business and I have seen a few verbal spars in the kitchen. I do not have virgin ears nor a virgin mouth. But to do this in front of many people is wrong. I at least respect those who do not like cussing and swearing.

So if you guys don't seem to understand that this is wrong then F off (ha, ha)

I dont really care what people do. I'm glad to see that they are into the game. They can pop off anything that isnt racist or predjuidce and it wouldnt bother me.

Flipping someone off is definitely wrong I don't think anyone is disputing that.

In the heat of the moment in a high energy, intense sport like football, much worse can and has happened.

I can't get too excited for this, sorry.

While I agree that it isn't a real big deal, it also isn't something I would expect from a Joe Gibbs coached team....maybe Parcells. Gibbs is a Christian man that does not swear and I would think that he would expect his staff to respect that and not do it themselves, especially in a way that could be "caught on film". I think Smith was probably reprimanded in private, which is the Gibbs way of doing things. And if the press had made a big deal about it Gibbs would have addressed it, but they didn't.
