Re: Potential Epic Fail

I didnt get to watch the game this past Sunday. Tommorow i will watch it. I am so shocked that they couldnt score in the redzone again. They need to get this offense fixed. Seems as though they were ablbe to march down the field all day Sunday. Jason put up good stats again. But still no touchdowns. Man it is frustrating as a fan to watch or not as in my chase this week. If zorn is so scared of having jc throw the ball in the redzone maybe he should bring in Collins for inside the 20.

Speaking of Collins...Campbell's foot will be something to keep an eye on this week. Hopefully it's nothing serious

Could you imagine........say we score 25+ with Collins under center.

JC is playing unless his foot falls off. He doesn't have the luxury of taking a week off, he may never get to play again, and he knows that.

This afternoon it is...

(Still want Mike Sherman...no, actually what I want is for Zorn to be successful here)

I would argue his dad has been our best coach since Gibbs 1.

Hell no!!! If we get another coach, hopefully its someone proven that can demand control of the team from Cerrato/Snyder. From playcalling.....all the way to forming the roster.(Ex. Holmgren, Shanahan)

Im just wondering who else could call plays if/once Zorn is shown the door. I dont see an experienced playcaller on our team, but Im not familiar with Smith's history in Tennessee either.

Re: Potential Epic Fail

Wilsowilso and Ruhskins I said potential (in the title) not a GTD lost.

I also beleive we have had the Loins number for a very long time they are due for a win against us.

I just hope our team shows some urgency in beating this team. Although like I said, I just want them to win at this point. Yeah it sucks that we can't put away a team like the Giants....but in the end it is all about Ws, this isn't college ball where you have to (and are expected to) blow out lesser teams.

Well I don't think anyone is expecting us to march in there and beat them...so at least there's not chance of a trap play like with the Rams last year.

Re: Potential Epic Fail

We need to spend the next three days of practice spending 90% of the time working on this red zone list.

Slants at the goal line.
Posts that end at the back of the goal line
Any pass plays were JC has to throw to THE BACK OF THE GOALINE!
Fades to Kelly and Mitchell
Quarterback rollouts
Any plays like the one we ran to Mike Sellers because it was inventive and he was open for a touchdown

Re: Potential Epic Fail

The Lions had the Vikings on the ropes until their 2nd half letdown. However, Kevin Smith is no Steven Jackson, Matthew Stafford will make his mistakes, and as long as we keep Calvin Johnson to a minimum, the Skins will have to do what they can to put points on the board.

Re: Potential Epic Fail

I wouldnt want Shanahan or Holmgren. Id rather take Cowher since he is younger and proven. The others would just be stop gap HC's IMO.

Marty is great.... Until the playoffs. He has always built a solid team but just couldnt reach that next level. I do think he got a raw deal in SD
Get Mike Martz!!!! lol jk... hey, at least with him we would throw the ball downfield and be aggressive on offense.
