re: Wide Receiver & returner? Draft? FA?

Kelly I think can be a great possession receiver for us, I honestly think that he's been held back, if he doesn't slack in the coming months I think that he'll find his way to number 2.. number 4 at the worst, but only cuz the number 3 is typically the slot guy. Thomas definitely looks like he has the hunger to be a number 1. There's no reason not to shift Davis around as the slot receiver and even a slot back, but I don't see a hurry to do that full time, especially not with Moss still on the roster |

re: Wide Receiver & returner? Draft? FA?
Was reading a broncos forum about how our fans seem intelligent to the game, but don't know the guys that Shanny actually targets
they said that they expect that having had him for a decade and a half, but that Shanny's plans won't revolve around what we understand about him, that there's something more very promising on our FA move/s to date, but just hoping it doesn't become paralysis by overanalysis on his part I mean as much as Shanahan is a greater football mind than we could ever be collectively, egos and pride are on tap readily with coaches |

They can refrain from using man-coverage too much then and keep him 30 yds from the line of scrimmage. Less athletic free safeties have gotten by in this league, such as Ryan Clark.

I think that if used correctly, Davis could create matchup problems all over the field. I don't doubt that Kelly is an NFL receiver but in my head I line up Kelly and Davis. It isn't even close. Davis is bigger, stronger and faster. He is the REAL DEAL and it is time to think out of the box and let these guys blow up the league. With Cooley, Moss, Davis, Thomas and Kelly on the field we should be lighting it up not scoring 6 -17 a game. |

Also, I wouldn't count on Shanahan being an expert at drafting defense. He's better at milking trades for guys like Champ.

Not only that, the Broncos' safeties in 2008 were, by far, one of the worst tandems in the league. Shanahan sure loved his meat-heads. Maybe he himself is one.

NFL Events: Draft Player Profiles - Kareem Moore
And that's where I pulled that Ryan Clark reference. Sorry, I don't like being treated as if I'm a blind supporter of "Vinny's guys". |

re: Wide Receiver & returner? Draft? FA?
There are many viable "undrafted" possibilitiesfor the redskins at KR/PR. Guys like Trindon Holliday, LaMarcus Coker, and Brandon James, no need to waste a pick on it. And if any of those three can beat out Anthony Alridge then they double as an extra RB.
I dont think we should draft a Wide Receiver. but what i WOULD consider is grabbing Limas Sweed if the steelers cut him since they signed both Arnaz Battle AND Antwaan Randle El today. Sweed's days seemed to be numbered there but when we took 3 pass catchers in the 2008 draft i was higher on Sweed than i was Kelly, and possibly even Devin Thomas as well. I think he would be a great addition.

re: Wide Receiver & returner? Draft? FA?
Does Javon Walker have a chance of gaining his career back like R.Moss since getting released by Oakland? Also would he fit in hear?
