Re: Report: Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins
All this talk about Marshal I would like to see what Marko Mitchel could do after the new offseason conditioning program and coaching from McCardell. If given the chance he has shown that he has the skills to produce in this league

Re: Report: Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins
Great move for the dolphins now they have a great 1, 2, 3 receiver combo with Marshall, Bess, and Hartline. I'm not counting on Ginn cause he's a bust, receiver wise.

Re: Report: Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins
^ Agreed about our Mitchell. I think he'll end up playing a nice roll this year. We need to prepare for the future without Moss. Sure, use him while he's still here, but get Marko and Malcolm ready to step in.
I could honestly see Marko becoming more productive than Malcolm Kelly longterm.

Re: Report: Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins
I just realized, this deal included a 2011 pick. there may not even be a draft in 2011!
I would think Denver included a provision for some compensation to account for this, otherwise the Tuna got Marshall for a 2nd. |

There will be a draft in 2011, it's 2012 right now that's up in the air

Re: Report: Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins
How is it up in the air? What happens to the incoming class?

Re: Report: Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins
The college players that would normally enter the draft basically would be like unrestricted free agents

Re: Report: Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins
Is that just that year? So that means we could get the top 10 players that year. I dont know if thats a good thing. I mean I'd love to get Suh, Bradford, Williams, Okung, Spiller, and so on. That could easily ruin the league.

Nice, it's like European Football. No draft, just scouting and offering contracts.

the 2011 draft is a definite go from what I understand. Kinda the last thing guaranteed to happen before ...

Re: Report: Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins
I saw this on NFL.com and nearly blew my coffee everywhere. I had no idea Miami was a serious contender for him. Maybe it was a steep price because he's a headcase, but I can't imagine not having conduct clauses in there.
My fiancee (diehard Skins fan which is why I belong to this site) thinks this was a bad move. He thinks Henne is terrible. I disagree. To loosely quote Rex Ryan, "We made that guy look like Dan Marino". Not too shabby against Revis with a no name receiving core. (Sorry. Had to give my ![]()
