Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!

I'm feeling pretty confident myself for a change. I WAS worried that this team would play up and down to their competition, but looks like the Rams are legit. I think we should smash them and provided we don't turn the ball over against their nasty D, we should be able to give the offense a short field with turnovers of our own.

Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!

Let's remember that they beat Dallas, therefore they must be SB contenders, wait Dallas is 1-4. (yeah I just wanted to get to say that )

The Bears have enough talent to give us a problem, but this is a game we ought to win, IF we come to play. I like that we are 3-1 in the conference, and hope that we build on that this week. I also hope we can get a lead, and hold it without heart attacks at the 2 minute warning! Nonetheless, a great opportunity to see where this team stacks up in the NFC.

Danger of this being a let down game. Though I feel like Shanahan won't allow that. Crazy prediction: Joey Galloway scores a TD.

If we don't put Cutler on his back a lot, it will be a long day. I think we will get to him, though.

The offense needs to pick up their game and find a new gear on the road.

Don't kick to Devin Hester.

Skins, 21-17.

LOL. My original crazy prediction was Brandon Bankes catches a TD pass....from Joey Galloway. But I'll save that for a few weeks from now

Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!

Both teams' QBs might be under pressure all day. I think the Bears D might give us more problems than we expect.

I would love to see Cutler sacked a lot, but we've seen some games this year where pressure on the qb hasn't led to shutting teams down. Plus, I don't think we're a very good blitzing D at all. I'm sure Martz has plenty of plays lined up that will work for them, Cutler can put the ball into those soft spots of the zone easily. I hope Haslett will let the cb's go man to man some, the bears only have one deep threat - Hester.

Orakpo could have a defensive player of the week type of game.

Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!

Im glad we got some confidence going but this in no means an easy game for us. If we win its going to be ugly. Last week Indy's offense is what I feared, this week Chicago's Defense is quietly very solid.

Some numbers on their D: Net passing yard per attempt 6.0(2nd best in the league) with a long pass play of the year of 30 yards(best in the league). They allow 3.5 per carry averaging only 84 rushing yards per game(4th best in the league). They allow only 31.8% on 3rd down..again 4th best in the league.

Chicago is not a cake walk by any means. They make a living by shooting themselves in the foot on offense with stupid turnovers to lose games. This week we take advantage.

Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!

Here's a prediction...Cutler will be EVEN on TDs and INTs after this game.

Currently, he's at 6 TD, 3 INT (how?).

He started out lucky in Weeks 1/2...5 TDs and 1 INT. Weeks 3-6, 1 TD and 2 INT...missed one game due to a horrible line that Orakpo will ravage.

Carlos Rogers is not a willing participant in ball catching.
