Smoot, I expect to see a report on "What's wrong with Skip Bayless" in the near future.

Today:

-walked next door to hospital cafeteria to grab breakfast to go. we get discounts

-grabbed a cup of java from co-workers office

-doing inventory on blades/switches throughout campus since administration apparently can't keep records of the stuff we sent last year.

-checking a faulty TrippLite 5K unit that probably needs to be replaced

-getting a second cup of java

Is it just me or is hospital cafeteria food the best? I work across the street from U of MD Hospital and I get a discount. I can get a full meal of rotisserie chicken, two sides, cornbread, and a drink for about 6 bucks. The food is pretty good and since I eat a lot of vegetables it is pretty healthy too.

Indeed it is. They even have the calories and nutritional info displayed on all their cooked food here so it's a bonus as well.

I tend to agree the two times I went for my children being born the food in the cafeteria was always good, especially breakfast.

I taught overly-muscular action movie heroes how to casually walk away from massive explosions without looking back. I'm exhausted.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Re: What did you do at work today?

typical work from home day for me:

-roll outta bed 5 minutes before I have to start my day
-coffee, coffee, and maybe some more coffee
-eat lunch around 11
-lunch break at 1, go out for a run
-shower, back to work at 2
-listen to some music, NFL radio, or Stern
-watch the clock the rest of the day

Re: What did you do at work today?

Today I am preparing examples to show our Australian national who is VP of our China office how bad China's quality is.
He will look at then, ask me to create and track another spreadsheet which he will show to the Chinese and they will not perform any tangible corrective action but instead will tell us that they punished their workers like they always do.

I am also measuring some new stuff that does not fit on our measuring fixture but the tech that asked for the info doesn't give a rats ass and said to get the data "close enough".

I filed some supplier certifications that no one cares about. I have stacks and stacks of them and no one has looked at them in over a year.

Re: What did you do at work today?

Today I read the Warpath, posted on the Warpath. Did some drudgery that is my work, then read the Warpath, posted on the Warpath. Got pizza at lunch, then read the Warpath, and posted on the Warpath. Marked some boxes, moved 'em around, read the Warpath, and posted on the Warpath. Did some scheduling, read the Warpath, and posted on the Warpath.

Not really sure I posted each time I read, but y'all understand what I mean.

Re: What did you do at work today?

ive been mia most of this week.

mon - left early for a job interview
tues - drove my lady to hospital in DC to see her dying great grandma
wed- went to hosp in balt to get our 2nd sonogram, its a girl, spent rest of day buying various pink things and registering
today - decided to get in early bc im leaving early again tomorrow for another job interview. admirably spent most of the day doing actual work writing complaints and fielding phonecalls, past 30 mins or so reading and utilizing the warpath . .mooby posted some really funny stuff on super happy fun thread.

currently sitting in my office typing this ready to click over to some word docs if i hear anyone walking down the hall. the "not so good speaking english" secretary is sitting at her desk outside making the occassional "oww" noise like she just deleted something she didnt mean to . . .literally as i was typing that she did a long "ohhhhhhhhh". the longest one of the day. probably deleted everything she has been doing for the past 3 hours.

edit - yall probably think im some kind of ahole. her great grandma isnt dying, she is doing much better and might be released tomorrow.

double edit - now hear my bosses voice, hes on the loose. maria is making more oww sounds
