Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Dolphins)

I didn't watch the game due to work, but since some asshat was kind enough to spot my Redskins jacket and ask me if I was bitter since they lost, I figure there's not much point in me reliving the misery now. Judging from the board and the stat line, sounds like Grossman wasn't very effective.

My only smackdown will come from the obvious: Looking at the scoreboard, it's apparent we only scored 9 points. So my smackdown is on the offense for again failing to score touchdowns. I'd say fix it but injuries and a lack of good depth/starters probably means our offense is going to look this way for the rest of the season.

Grossman was just OK. We moved down the field and spread the ball around, but we stalled in the red zone. One pick was due to Hankerson falling down, the other was on him.

I was at the game and the stadium was about 35-40% Skins fans. The sad thing after the game was most of the fans weren't mad we lost, it was almost expected and accepted.

Also, you could really see the talent gap between us and the Dolphins. Think about that for a minute, the talent gap between us and a 1-7 team. I'm firmly of the belief we have one of the 3 worst rosters in the NFL if not the worst. Maybe Indy and Cleveland are in the conversation also but we've got a long, long way to go.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

The problem is we don't..

Matt Moore would have allowed us to win today, Rex Grossman and Beck simply aren't sufficient enough to win.

No, we really, really do. The only starters we had, on either side of the ball who would started over their Miami counterpart may be Orakpo, Kerrigan, Fletcher, Landry and maybe Darrell Young. THAT'S IT! Our roster is pathetic.

Ok but Miami is also suffering from a crappy quarterback for the most part. Their team is definitely "the best of the worst".

Yes, he is. But he wouldn't have started over Marshall or Bess on the Dolphins.

Let me restate my point, I'm not saying that all we have is bad players, just that even most of our good ones wouldn't start on the 1 win team we faced today.

This is not excusable.

Oh wow. That's totally inexcusable. I really just don't like our organization. I mean, I love the team, but I hate them, too. If that makes any sense.

I thought Carlos himself thought he didn't have a problem.

But still, it's amazing NO ONE in the organization listened to Phillip and make Carlos get an eye check.
