Re: Redskins Vs Jets Pregame Thread

Hows this for optimism? This is the time of the year I can throw homeristic predictions around and not feel guilty for not believing it.

45-3 Skins win. We're up by 3 touchdowns at the end of the first half, all 4 members of the secondary record interceptions, D.Hall with a pick six, Kerrakpo feasts on Dirty Sanchez, Rex Ryan reveals after the game his new nickname is Diabeetus, which is the reason he wasn't focused while gameplanning this week, thus dooming the Jets to failure before the game even started. And you know what the crazy part is? I actually like the Jets. But for once this season I want the Skins to just blow a team out, and I'm going to keep going homer in my predictions until it happens.

Does that use up your BOLD PREDICTION for the year?

Well in the time that we've been friends, I don't have anything to brag about either. Whenever I bring up past Super Bowls, I get the "keep living in the past" response. And that's valid, but what I say to that is, at least I have a past to live in.

Sounded like Hall was talking about Grossman. Generously, that is.

Sanchez is basically Grossman with superior physical tools(mobility, accuracy, arm strength).

Re: Redskins Vs Jets Pregame Thread

Anybody want to guess the team with the longest winless drought (in terms of time) against the Redskins?

Well, the Jets and Redskins have only played 9 times ever. If I'm not mistaken the last time they beat us was a 3-0 shootout in 1993 on a Saturday, nationally televised game. We really showcased our stuff that day.

I was a freshman in high school.

I remember that game unfortunately. One of the worst games I've seen.

I believe we played them in 07 at NY and barely won the game. Clemons was the QB for them.

Lions, but is this active or all-time?

Re: Redskins Vs Jets Pregame Thread

This game will be a big test for the Redskins offense. The Jets have 2 good cover corners and play the run tough so the offense has to run the ball well. We need a big game from Fred Davis because our WR will be MIA with Revis out there. Our defense must stop the run and pressure Sanchez and force him into bad throws. LB's have to cover the Jets TE which will be a tough task for us.

I feel like we keep the game close but we come up short because the Jets need this win more than we do to keep pace with the Patriots. This game comes down to a FG and we know that Gano has struggled this year.

I was looking on a jets forum and it's awesome to see they're worried about our pass rush. It's been a long time since we could say other teams feared it.
