Am I a bad person to be grateful that RG3 hurt his knee and not his head?

Kirk is a great qb, just no way to replace RG3 if he out rest of season. One bright side is if Cousins plays lights out rest of season we know we have a great backup or great tradebait.

re: Ravens at Redskins Post Game Thread (RG3 MRI Result-Sprained Knee)
My two year old and I just held hands an sent up prayers for RG III.
OM what a football game! That was amazing! Once again the D plays huge in the second half and holds a team to 7. Going to have a heart attack if we win like that more! Really though a great effort by our guys. Cousins comin in threw off what the Ravens were doing defensively. That two point conversion was a shock to them and me! Then we get Crawford with the big special teams play to make up for the almost season changing Paul TO. Amazing football game and this season is really feeling special! Btw how about RG III coming back to get us down the field. WOW! Cloud nine

Cousins might just get us 1 of those 1st round picks back

I think if he plays well next week, we might be able to swing a third, maybe a second if he has two really good back to back weeks. That is a worst case scenario/best case.
I'd like to hold onto him though. Great poise, and just goes out and plays. Doesn't seem to let the game overwhelm him, just what you need your backup to do. |

re: Ravens at Redskins Post Game Thread (RG3 MRI Result-Sprained Knee)
That might be overly optimistic. The market right now for a good backup is one or two first round picks. Most of the teams picking late in the first round already have QB's. Then again seeing how a freshman just won the Heisman and we're looking at the worst QB draft class in years that price could go up as there seems to be a serious shortage of QB's on the horizon. One that mirrors the early 2000's.

Did you guys see the knee when he got hit? Not trying to be negative but it did not look good.

No, didn't look good at all. Could just be a hyperextension - mild sprain. He is obviously in great shape, and that will likely play a big part in how serious it is. (fingers crossed) |

Great win! Hope Griffin plays next week. They say it's a sprain so we'll see
