THANK GOD I'm with Punch when he said the question now is how long will Jay be here. Which I think will be the full tenure of his contract. The team showed improvement today and i'll be damned if i've seen a Redskins team play more physical than they have this year in a LONG time. It's a pleasant surprise to see this team playing with pride for once, sticking up for each other and even getting into fights for one another. We're building, and so far it's working. But the process WILL take some time.

Yeah, don't think so.... If not for the punt return for a TD, we probably get the W, without our most explosive offensive threat for most of the game. This is a loss I am ok with. The team is better, will likely get better as the season goes on, and will compete all year. |

Time for Jeron Johnson to step up.

The Good: KC, Garcon, Reed, the running game, the d-line, the o-line (blocking)
The bad: Amerson, injuries, the secondary in general The Ugly: Endless penalties, stupid refs, Gruden's non-existent nuts, DJax being almost as injury prone as Jordan Reed.

Gotta say Im happy with the trench play today..Well done by both sides; exceeded expectations.
It just feels like a punch to the balls when our special teams continue to struggle. And the penalties...gosh I just felt like we shoulda won that game.

Good: Line play both sides of the ball, Alfmo, general toughness shown by team, JG's commitment to the run.
Bad: DB's still getting burned, JG's commitment to the run. Ugly: Special Teams, penalties.

I have zero hopes in the special teams players. I can't figure out if it's coaching or personnel. All I know is, they've been terrible for years.

As for the play calling, yeah, here and there I had some issues but mainly like JG's commitment to the run. We can hope that this continues as we, hopefully, cut down on penalties. Dumb mistakes and bad ST plays. Hopefully, correctable.

Re: Good, bad and ugly. Post game reactions vs Dolphins
I thought it was a little heartbreaking the way it ended. I hadn't felt like that about a Redskins loss in a while; mainly because I've been checked out on this team for a while. I want Cousins to do well. I really do. I just hear a bunch of people on the Post game show bashing him.

The first interception sucked because Grimes read him all the way, but the second interception was 50/50 as Garcon did a pretty poor job of going up and catching/breaking up the pass. He didn't turn into a turnover machine. That by itself is a plus. Roberts was invisible until the 3rd/4th quarter... Outside of Reed and Garcon, KC really had no one to throw to. Give that guy more than one or two weapons to throw to (and a coach who knows how to call a competitive game) and the Fins would've been blown out.
