Scary story, I wish nothing but the best for him in his recovery.

Shot twice in lower extremities so legs or feet. The good he is stable and probably will survive - the bad he was hospitalized which means more than superficial damage to his legs/feet. Hope I'm wrong, but more likely than not, he is done for the year.

Re: Brian Robinson Shot multiple times

This sounds promising:

Washington coach Ron Rivera tweeted Sunday night that he visited Robinson in the hospital, saying "I just got done visiting with Brian. He is in good spirits and wanted me to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers and support. He wants his teammates to know he appreciates them all for reaching out and he loves them all and will be back soon doing what he does best."

He will survive which is the best news possible, this is why you must not take life for granted! Also as far as football, who knows how long he'll be out but the good thing is we are deep at RB

Just saw this:

Police have identified two male suspects in the shooting, who both remain at large as of Monday morning.

Good to know they might know who it was. I'm guessing they know because they have a past record.

I fucking hate people that hate other people for having more than them, and think they can just do whatever they want to take it from them. Bunch of fucking haters in this world.

Re: Brian Robinson Shot multiple times

Washington coach Ron Rivera said doctors are optimistic about Brian Robinson's recovery and his return this season. But this is a fluid situation; team officials will talk to doctors later today to get a further update on his status.

Just glad it sounds like he will be alright. Such a shitty situation. Poor guy makes it to live out his dream and 2 losers try to take it from him.

Nikki Jhabvala on Twitter

Ron Rivera said Brian Robinson is "doing well" and was "in a really good place" when he visited him in the hospital last night. "It's just a matter of time before he's out here."

Sounds positive , would hate to see the young man have a promising career taken from him

Great update from Rivera. We'll all be happy when he's free from the hospital for sure. So thankful this wasn't anything worse.

Re: Brian Robinson Shot multiple times

Sports radio says he was shot in hip and leg. Was visiting/eating at Crab Boss. Fought the 2, was struggling with one and their gun, other perp had gun and shot him twice.

Brian, get well my man and be thankful.

---------------------

What's the non-football-injury (NFI) list and how does it work?

The Non-Football Injury or Illness list (NFI) is similar to the PUP list, but it is used for players who suffered injuries or ailments outside of NFL activities. This can range from Minkah Fitzpatrick's wrist injury falling off a bike on vacation to Jameson Williams and John Metchie III's ACL injuries in college. Players who begin the season on NFI (as of cutdowns to 53-man rosters) can be activated after the team has played its first four regular season games.

However, a player on this list is not entitled to receive his salary, and his contract will continue to run while in such status. That said, the team and player can negotiate a rate of payment for the player while on this list.

If such a player is in the last year of his contract (including option years), his contract will toll, provided the player is not physically able to provide his services by the team's sixth regular-season game and the team pays his prorated base salary for the balance of the season after that date. If the player is taken off of NFI during the league-allotted window, his contract will not toll.

Appears Brian will have to initially be on the 53 then the team can designate him as a NFI the next day. Cant practice or play for 4 games.

Im sure the team will pay what he would have recd anyway.

----------------

Reserve/Commissioner Exempt List: This list is for players in special or unusual circumstances who are momentarily not counted against a team's roster limit. The Commissioner is the only person or entity who can place a player on this list.

Had to google that Crab Boss place…looks super legit

Just ridiculous teenagers are out committing crimes like this with no consequences.

Re: Brian Robinson Shot multiple times

Not to get ahead of any official reporting, but JP was saying that the perps were allegedly 13 years old.

If true, that is unbelievable really. These kids should be doing their homework, or chasing girls, riding bikes, grabbing a milk shake, not roaming the streets looking for easy targets, robbing and shooting people...

They (BMitch/Finlay) also had a police officer on who said that he's had kids in handcuffs for similar crimes, and they flat out tell him they don't care, because they'll be right back out on the street doing the same thing tomorrow...

It's just sad we have kids out there doing these things - with apparently no consequences at home or with the legal system.
