The truth is this the first winning team that Ramsey has been a part of since his high school team. That is seven years of losing.

His Tulane teams when he was the starter went:
1999 3-9
2000 6-5
2001 3-9

No bowl games.

We know how his Redskin teams have done.
I like Ramsey alot, he is a great person and a great team player. I like him on our team.
But I am yet convinced he is a primetime NFL QB yet.

Brunnell led us here, if he is healthy, he should start. Brunnell's Redskins are 9-6 and one victory away from the playoffs.

He was a gm with the jets, or partly, along with Ron Wolfe, he was the guy who moved up to get Farve, but couldn't get up far enough and Atlanta nailed him, Wolfe left for Green bay and made the trade for Farve.

Oh come on now, why do we have to start this Brunell/Ramsey thing again. Stop worrying about who lines up behind center and just root for the Redskins.

Nobody loves a QB controversy like Skins fans!

We could have had Marino in his prime and we still wouldn't have been happy.

Gibbs said the MRI showed no structrural damage to Brunell's knee, and that there also was no swelling. That appeared to be their major concern, whether the knee was going to swell. His status is listed as day to day, and that he "probably" will be ready to play sunday.

I was proud to see Patrick have such a good game in relief for Brunell. I'm sure it did much for his feelings of contribution to team/season/etc. It is a luxury today to have any competant QB much less a talented starter and BU. If Brunell can't go I feel pretty good Joe and the "bunch' can hammer out a game plan to take advantage of his talents without much letdown!

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?

AT THIS point in the season, to imply, suggest, reference ANYTHING be changed to upset a cohesive, comradic, Winning, DANGEROUS Redskin team unlike anything seen in Redskin land since the last time JOE built one is beyond logical, or LUCID thought!
I am to adjectively exhausted to say more

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?

I will have to say that I was impressed with how Ramsey ran the O. He was efficient but far from great. Lets remember he only threw 7 passes and made 5 for 105 yards and one of them was for 75 yards which Moss made a great catch and move for the TD. I know Brunells TDs were not the best passes of the year but every time we hear a case for Ramsey we hear about Brunells flaws even if we won the game. With that said I feel Ramsey has learned alot form watching Brunell and how he manages a game. If you think about it this is the first time Ramsey has realy had a chance to watch a winning QB for the Skins and how they manage a game.

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?

on comcast brunell listed as day to day.they also showed him walking to his car without a limp.i gotta think he will play.if not, ramsey is more than capable of beating the eagles.it looked like he might have learned a few things sitting like throwing the ball away, checking to safety valve passes, and getting the ball out faster.i want brunell to play but ramsey is a more than adequet backup that alot of other teams would covet

Re: How Hurt Do You Think Brunell Is?

I sprained my MCL in high school and was able to play the next week. Not that high school football is anywhere near the level of the NFL, but I can relate to the injury itself. It was painful but my knee was stable, and if Brunell is in the same boat I think he should be able to play. Plus I think it's safe to say he's getting better treatment than I did.
