How so, I never did get the problem with Romo last season, it was an extra week off after all(do we know where our players were last week?), and if TO wanted to do a book signing, do it last week. But to leave the team to go to NY during the week when your team has a big game? That's insane. If any Skins player tried to do it the coaches would not allow it, period. That JJ and WP allowed it just shows again why Parcells got out of there.

hhmmm.... interesting, Well I just read that Cooley and Campbell went to Disney World during the Bye Week... So much for your statement, does it hurt to put your foot in your mouth?

As that should be of no surprise. Bye weeks are for taking a break, however you see fit.

But where did you read that? In what article, link?

Well, that was his point. LAST week was the bye week. Did Cooley and Campbell go to Disney World this week after practice? NO? Did Owens do his book signing and Late Night appearance during the bye week? NO. See the difference?

It's a rudimenary time/space thing which, of course, is why it is beyond the grasp of a Cowboys' fan.

Well T.O. has been known to be a prick, whereas Cooley and Campbell are not. And as someone said (just in case you didn't read it for the umpteenth time), Cooley and Campbell went to Disney during the bye week...last week, this week is not the bye week.

It kills me when Cowboys and Giants fans (well some of them, not all - some of you made some good comments) on this board act surprised or are bothered by negative comments made here towards their team...well what do you expect, this is a Redskins board!! If I were to go to a Cowboys fan board, I'm not going to expect many complimentary comments towards my team.

Re: It's Dallas week!

FYI Darrell Green and Art Monk are being honored before this week's game, so make sure you get to your seats early. I'm sure they are going to give a speech to the team before they take the field, so we should be fired up.

Not just that but we need to come out after the Pitt game and show everybody we mean business. There's a lot of people that expect us to fall off the map in the second half and finish third or fourth in our division. It's basically time to prove ourselves all over again, and I trust Jim Zorn worked hard during the bye week to fix our problems and make us a better team.

Re: It's Dallas week!

Big game for both the team and the fans.

Zorn gave everyone the week off last week. I hope the players took the time to "get their minds right" and are approaching these last 7 games with renewed purpose.

I have been saying that this was a mentally tired team for the last couple weeks. The question in my mind is now: Are they rested and do they have the requisite sense of determination to run the table? Even if they don't do it, are they willing to do all the little things necessary to win? Will they remember the come backs against Philly and New Orleans and draw on them? Is their goal to get beyond the last game or simply get to the last game? Sunday, both the game and what the players say afterwards, will be very revealing.

Re: It's Dallas week!

Ok both teams haven't looked good the past couple of weeks... Washington had barely won against bad teams and the offense has lost the explosiveness they had early on in the season.

Dallas is a complete mess, sure the injuries doesn't help, but it's a team that has completely lost their way and are just a bunch of individuals... Dallas season has collapse and I don't know if or how they can come back.

Romo and other top players are comming back from injuries this week but in the case of Romo I believe it's more about need than health I just don't think he's Ok. And if he can't do the plays and throws that he's used to make I don't see them having a chance.

I hope the Cowboys specially the Oline has fixed some of the problems during the bye week... because the season comes to this game.

Washington is in a bad place right now but Dallas is worse and plays away from home so right now I see Was taking the W in a close game.... hoping that something happens during the week that makes me feel more confident of my team.

31- 27 final score Redskins

I agree with all you sad but this "Redskins are in a bad place right now". I think if you asked most people in football if we would make it to 6-3 90% of them would have said not a chance. While we have struggled we have also done more then most would have thought to begin with. Its Dallas who was picked to go to the SB and the Skins pick to be last in our division so we are doing just fine. We will also knock dallas down another notch this Sunday.

I complete agree with you nobody taught you'll be sitting with a 6-3 record in bye week..... not in this division. the record it's great but it's not real on how the team has play.... it's like the Bills 4-0 record at the start we all thought they were great and now they have lost 4 out of the last 5.

What I'm saying with the bad place it has to do with how they have played the past 4 weeks even if they won they didn't look good or play good on those wins and you see a tendency.

it doesn't mean your not good but that the team hasn't played good in the past week not even close at the level when you first kicked our asses early in the season.

The Redskins have also been dead tired the last few weeks. They had the longest training camp and longest preseason of anyone.

I think we see more of the week 4 Redskins now that they've napped a bit.

Well, yeah, you're correct that they haven't been great lately. Of course, if we're putting stock into who has played well prior to the bye week, how in the world do we give the Cowboys a fighting chance in this one?

To accept that we might see an improved Cowboys team, I think you have to expect to see a Redskins team similar to the one you saw in Week 4. Anything else is just wishful thinking.

Re: It's Dallas week!

I just hope our team shows up for this game not b/c is Cowboys, but because they need to run the table to fight for the division or something better than being a 6th seed in the playoffs. Otherwise, what's the point of beating the Cowboys, if they regress to their inconsistent play afterwards and not show up for the latter games? I want to see them dominate the Cowboys and make a statement. Winning by 2 pts on the last drive will just mean that they are playing inconsistent football, will prob have to fight for the last spot in the playoffs, and will need other teams to back into the playoffs.
